UK media - Daily Mail article

Yes, who else will stand up for the oppressed white, British, middle class, suburban majority. They're such hero's at the DM. Keep Britain inbred brother! Fight the good fight.

Lol, he must be from Norfolk.

Well i know for a fact they treat fighters well, but yer it has nothing on the UFC

I wish they wouldn't try and be the UFC . That's half the problem with BAMMA , they have neither the talent or the money to do so . It's like they're trying to do what Cage Rage did . When they signed Nate Marquardt , I thought that was a good thing . Then they never got him a fight and he left . Their biggest "name" now is sadly Alex Reid . Yes , they have other fighters but in terms of recognition , he is it unfortunately .

At least with Cage Warriors and UCMMA they don't try and be like the UFC , they have their own identity , be it good or bad (I'm looking at you UCMMA).

Yeah, Reid and Marshman, who they were touting as the next great British hope, but he couldn't even avoid being lay and prayed bt professor X.

That and they consistently have the worst presentation I've ever seen. I'm sure one of their cards averaged about 1 fight every 50 minutes or so.

Plus this genius playing with his phone during all the fights.

They must think as he was involved with Cage Rage , he must know what he's on about ! Even his name (OJ Borg) is annoying !

What I find ridiculous with BAMMA is , the last card , the only live televised fight was the Alex Reid one , yet in the States they get the full main card minus the Reid fight . They are screwing the fans .

Didn't professor X leave for somewhere else?

He's had 2 fights in SFL , went 1-1 there .
Just looked him up, he was on a 5 fight losing streak before that, if he's one of the main guys fighting in Britain we have more problems than i thought....

Yeah add the fact that Marshman got wrestlefucked by a guy who isn't a wrestler (professor X) and I don't think he's the future star BAMMA would have you believe.

Think they only got him as he fought for Cage Rage , some of the people involved in Cage Rage are behind BAMMA .

I never got the hype behind Marshman , he's an average fighter with below par ground skills .

Holy Crap... the Daily Mail wrote a positive article on MMA? I generally consider them (and still do) to be the biggest pile of shit in the whole of the UK printed press.

As I understand it the online version of the Mail has a sizeble US readership, alot of your younger right leaning US audience is going to enjoy MMA.

Prof X is quite a skilled stand up fighter, it's just his mental game that lets him down bad.

He was a brilliant fighter , he was on a tear in the Cage Rage days . Then went to the UFC and then seemingly lost his skills .

I agree, it's amazing what a bit of marketing can do for a fighter, the way the commentators were talking at the last couple of events I thought he was going to be a total beast.

he's a 21 year old paratrooper so he sounds pretty badass, easy to market i guess.
