International UK Government wins court case to block its population from accessing Wikipedia

I think this is a nothing story tbh. I can't see why they would class Wikipedia in the same bracket as pornhub.

I'm not a fan of the rules overall though.
It has nothing to do with child safety. They don’t want the public educated on what’s happening.

How is blocking a parliamentary address on the Pakistani rape gangs protecting kids?

It's crazy what's happening in the UK. It shows how important it is for America to reject liberalism, migrants, and gun control. No matter how bad conservatives can be, it's preferable to that authoritarian shit show.
i think your response indicates exactly how far the political control of the narrative in the USA shapes your opinion, because what you describe as liberalism is in fact better described as iliberalism.

It verges on authoritarianism and is on the foothills of fascism.

Yes, they usually love crying ‘Hitler’ and ‘Fascism’.

Here we have a Western Government undertaking the modern equivalent of burning books, yet the silence is deafening.
Well, I think in this instance I could be considered a 'leftist' by someone espousing your world view, although I think that characterisation does nothing to reveal any truth but just propagates our various rulers propaganda.

There is a great deal of upset regarding it but broadly speaking the British seem to be a little beleaguered at the moment. Life is hard and the problems seems intractable. The next general election is a way off. All main parties have been sabotaged and bought so many times over it seems hopeless.

This is obviously authoritarian and we had for example the greatest arrests under anti terror legislation last Saturday, over 500 people, for peaceful support of the prescribed Palestine Action Group. Arrests of disabled people, teachers, nurses etc, sitting down, well meaning entirely peaceful. Such is possibly the closest we have come to real middle English upset in decades and it's terrifying the state.

I think if you believe there is silence on the matter you are indeed within an echo chamber. Nearly 1 million people signed up to Jeremy Corbyns Your Party within a couple of weeks and this dwarfs the support of all other political parties combined.

Regarding your comments re Pakistani rape gangs, that's a contentious issue. Statistically speaking it's a small issue, a fraction of the sexual assault on children numbers which are vastly commited by family and friends of the victim.

Now there is a concerted effort by Zionists to increase numbers of Muslim migrants into Christian countries, they manipulate all sides and magnify division. They want us to fight each other. People like Starmer, Farage, Yaxley-Lennon, Badenoch and yourself are all in their pockets either fiscally or ideologically.

So multiple things are true, yes these crimes are awful, yes there's a problem, yes we should treat asylum seekers with care, yes we should prevent unauthorized migration, yes we should protect children from harmful content, yes the UK's laws are becoming increasingly authoritarian etc etc.

But Palestine Action is a terrorist organisation; it attacked UK defence infrastructure.

The reason there is backlash to the arrest of those supporting Palestine Action, is because of exactly what you said - its supporters are generally meek, pathetic, and quite clearly not a threat to anyone.

However, that shouldn't detract from the fact that they are still supporting a terror organisation.

What is up with the UK when I visited I had a good time and thought about working and living there but no way , they are going down the draconian crazy road

"...initially sold to the public as being a tool to prevent kids from accessing porn."

Yeah, who would have thought it was absolute bullshit from the start

...these are the authoritarian assholes who heard about the great firewall of China and thought "Yeah, we gotta get in on this shit"

It occupied a roof top and painted some jets that they believe were supporting Israel's genocide. No people were threatened or harmed.

I will of course say I in no way support the group, but I support their right to protest.

The fact that the authoritarian iliberal UK government has prescribed them as a terrorist organisation is a sham and you know it. On one hand you cry about the increasing authoritarianism, then you offer up an arguement like this, you speak out of both sides of your mouth sir.

The reason there is so much disquiet about the arrests is that they go against the very English tradition of peaceful protest. It was middle England that were attacked by the state. And weak? Each one of them was positively heroic.

It's probably the closest we've been to revolution in over a century. Hence the consternation.

If you listen to the media for your information you would think America is one big school shooting.

It's a bit shit here, but that's broadly economic. I've not been stabbed or harassed by migrants nor do I know anyone how has been.

Yet another inaccurate, disingenuous claim, which is easily refuteable, yet half you morons just take as gospel to fuel your political biases.
Yet another Liberal who applies the 'that would never happen' logic.

Better get in touch with all the media outlets reporting this.

Aha, so you are actually just ignorant as opposed disingenuous?

"derp, left wing, Karen, woke, liberal, derp."

Pathetic.

UK citizens will soon have to provide their passport and a face scan to a third party age verifier in order to access Wikipedia, after the online encyclopaedia lost a court case challenging Britain’s online safety act.

The new act, which gives the UK Government the power to instruct online sites to take down ‘harmful’ content or risk fines of £18 million or 10% of their turnover, was initially sold to the public as being a tool to prevent kids from accessing porn.

However, concerns are being raised after UK citizens were blocked from seeing a number of social media posts - including footage of anti-migrant rallies, coverage from journalists on Pakistani rape gangs, and adverts from rival political parties.

What’s your thoughts on this, should Wikipedia be blocked in the UK?

Lol at thinking this will actually happen.

How about actually providing evidence, rather than just applying the 'that would never happen' logic?

Here's The Guardian, the cheerleaders of Labour and general cesspit of wokery, decrying the Online Safety Act.
