UFN 125 - Anders vs Machida - Brazil

He starts slow but he finishes strong. Perfect for someone like Santos, who has too much muscle and can’t maintain the pace he sets. He isn’t exactly a defensive dynamo either

I like Santos, but I have to play the odds on this one. Just a gut feeling . Not like the Kim fight last week. That fight screamed massive value to me.

Not knocking the play but when has Santos ever gassed? He got a rd3 10-8 against "the cardio king" Elias.

This. I’m not suggesting playing Santos at current prices but Smith has benefited from facing 3 straight opponents who have gassed badly.

Santos looks/fights like the type who would have cardio issues, but it seems like he doesn’t. I wouldn’t count on him slowing down here.

He’s put on muscle since that fight. I don’t think he gasses but I think he slows down.

Creates opportunities for the big counter punch

Last few fights, Santos paced himself really well and picked his shots well and fought at range. If Smith is going to win this fight, he has to close distance and make this fight ugly. If he fights at range, Santos is going to pick him apart.

At the same time, can't play Santos at his current price.

Man. I was thinking Patrick before tape watch. But I'm really not sure here. Does anyone know if Hadzovak took the Held fight on short notice?

Patrick really has sorta sloppy takedowns. Held is more of a grab hold and wrestle down. Patrick just sort of does that BJJ run at your opponent

If I was remotely confident he wouldn't gas I'd take a shot here

He had about 2 months to prepare for Held, i was surprised he looked to be that gassed as his cardio looked good pre UFC. Checkout Damir vs Delaney on fightpass, shows good TDD against a judo black belt.

Gonna watch that next.

What are you thinking? If he stuffs TDs I think he smokes Patrick

Can you guys think, that Munhoz can take the decision aganist Dodson? He loves pressuring his opponents and the fight is in Brasil, so maybe the judges can easily favour him.

Like you I planned to play Patrick pre tape but I kinda like Damir at these odds. I agree Patrick is fucked if he can't get TDs, Damir also has that knee as one of his main weapons and Patrick ducks his head a lot. If he can get the TDs he's very smothering and prefers control over going for a sub.

I'll probably pass, would've played Patrick dec if it was north of +200, waiting to see the Damir NSC line.

Guys..
Why am I getting Munoz at underdog money
And Tractor at decent odds?

Dodson is done man.. let alone fighting in Brazil
And Des Green wants to hump on people and he will be the one getting humped here

Max bet double coming in?

Stylistically Dodson is a tough fight for Munhoz. I can see how Munhoz can win but i certainly wouldn't be max betting Munhoz or Praz here.

Munhoz is very hittable on the feet and although he pressures well that might give Dodson more chances to counter. I don’t think Dodson is done, he lost very close fights to Moraes and Lineker but he still had success in both fights.

Green did well vs Khabilov and many people thought he should have won. Prazaraes has been looking dominant recently but against a lower caliber of competition than Green.

He shot on Moraes to steal the round. Surely he won't be that dumb here.

Dodson tapped to the guilotine by Moares after the horn
Moraes also didn’t break the choke

That’s why I think he tapped on him. Like, get off of me the horn rang

Really?
I've been waiting for an opportunity to fade Dodson for a while

I've never been a fan of Dodson, but dropping split decisions to top fighters in Moraes and Lineker = done? C'mon now.

And what makes you think Prazeres will be scoring easy takedowns against Green in rounds 2 & 3? In the later rounds he MAY be able to put him on his back or possibly edge him out on the feet, but that TD will be harder to come by as the fight progresses, don't you think?

I'm not necessarily arguing with your plays, it's more your confidence level on these two fights that I disagree with.

Mhmmm I just don't see the fight in Dodson anymore and I feel like he's been figured out and hasn't evolved at all combined with at the higher weight class his power is non existent
And I do like Pedro a lot
Prazeres is a little risky I'll admit but I fully see him grinding two round easy to get the decision
The price is decent
Roll the dice
