Lord Gamlou picks Brunson, Matthews, Noke, Volkanovski under 2.5, Tuck, Knight, Kelly

I'm on Pedro. 1u @ +130. Mainly a fade on Roundtree. Haven't been impressed with him at all.

Haven't been impressed either. Any fighter with an active and decent jab and footwork or a guy who's a decent grappler who knows how to set up the takedowns properly will beat Rountree at the moment. Haven't seen much at all of Pedro but he doesn't seem to be the jabbing type nor the chain wrestling type.. If he's only gonna dive on doubles or stay in a firefight with Rountree he loses
Again.. Would really need to find some more fights of Pedro to look at

Last card got cancelled, I was already cutting weight, and on the flight, (vs. Mehdi Baghdad), no injuries, I'll fight anybody, I was already in great shape, training with Ellenberger, Dariush, all the guys at Kings MMA, I will take control, he has a strong overhand right, the ground is my specialty

Idk about that. Stansbury's strongest weapon might be his jab, and he was landing it, but Khalil still found a way to put him out.

I literally have not seen anything from Pedro that leads me to believe he should win this. If Khalil wasn't sounding like a journeyman bum in these interviews, him winning by KO would be one of my more confident leans.

I called him out, because I love to travel and he has a good record, I made a mistake in the Leites fight, I'm bigger, use my reach, angles, I have the best jab, I'm a brown belt, I wouldn't mind a submission win to prove a point, my brother is coming to Australia with me, it will a dog fight, I fight better inside, I'll cut him with an elbow

Cliff notes from cards vids posted above

Rountree
-not bothered if loses he says, has plenty other things he can be doing but wants a win still<reg flag
-prefers to put on a entertaining show more then anything else including winning <red flag
-training video showed him doing his spinning back kick few times that he likes

road to Melbourne
Ben
-says last fight as a bad representation of him
-wants to get the win regardless of what happens
Hooker
-showed take down defence drills in training and using footwork with circling
-watches fights many times and breaks them down
very confident he will win the fight
Volk
- nothing of value shown or discussed

Man Hooker and Knight both seem cool AF. I don't want either of them to lose! Knight seems to be a bit more realistic about it being a tough fight whereas Hooker may seem a bit overconfident. I am so pumped for this fight maybe even moreso than Main Event.

Pedro - http://www.heraldsun.com.au/sport/r...e/news-story/8ef6dfcd988a72ba710c50ac5a696ce2

According to his coach Shaun Sullivan, whose gym is gaining a reputation as one of Australia’s best.

“Everyone talks about how he’s freakishly talented and his athletic ability, but I think his strongest trait is his mental strength,” Sullivan said of Pedro.

“He sets the bar in everything, whether it’s our cardio sprints, wrestling, jiu jitsu... he does a proper warm up by himself before our team warm up and he’s always doing the one percent things and in sparring and fighting it’s the exact same thing.”

“I’ve been doing this my whole life,” Pedro said.

“I’ve been training with my dad for 17 years and he had the first cage fight in Australia and I’ve always watched these guys since I was a young kid, so to now live that dream... it’s amazing.”

His dad, John Pedro, was a high calibre fighter in his own right.

John was one of the original exponents of MMA in Australia, beginning his career in the era of “Vale Tudo”, which is the Portuguese pronunciation for full combat sport with “few” rules.

John, 50, taught MMA in his garage long before it became “popular” and was former UFC star James Te Huna’s first coach.

“He originally fought out of America and he has seven black belts in seven different styles,” Pedro said.

“I started training in Japanese kenpo Karate when I was a young kid, eventually I started amateur boxing and then I started jiu jitsu and moved in MMA.

“I trained with Brad Morris and James Te Huna and that was all through dad.”

I feel it's fadin'
I think I think too much
I feel it's fadin'
Ain't nobody watchin'
I feel it's fadin'

Yeah the mistake of being way worse at BJJ.

From the little footage I've seen on Pedro he looks to have some fairly decent head movement. That said, if the fight stays standing I think a Rountree KO is a good possibility. But, if Pedro can get this to the ground (and I expect him to) he's going to have a big advantage IMO. I think he'll to look for the finish instead of the lay and pray strategy that Sanchez took. Not to mention that Sanchez is a natural middleweight and he was able to get Rountree down easily and keep him there.

Probably gonna be on Brunson Large, Noke Medium & Knight Small.

What have you seen out of Pedro's grappling? What kind of TDs does he do? I feel Rountree has good defense for the initial ordinary double leg TD, but he seems to get lost real quick when someone turns the corner or starts chaining TD attempts together. Does Pedro do any of this?

Luca picks Whittaker because of chin and cardio

He shows a power double off the cage in this fight. To be clear, I'm not advocating a play on Pedro. As I said, I took him mainly as a fade of Rountree.
