1) Adesanya is ranked above Ngannou, despite trying to go up and getting handled.

2) Poirier is ranked below Holloway, despite beating the shit out of him twice at 2 different weights.

3) Gane isn't on the list, despite being ranked above Stipe in their division and doing much better in their recent matchups with the champion.

4) Colby isn't on the list, despite losing 2 razor thin fights to #1. Yet Whittaker and Moreno are included with multiple losses to #3 and #10 respectively.

In B4 "Rankings don't matter and have always sucked."

When it comes to P4P attempting to go up and losing a decision has to be worth more than never leaving weight class IMO. But really these rankings don't mean much because if these were true P4P rankings then Jarred Cannonier would easily be in the top 10.

But instead, you put guys like Sterling in just for holding a championship, with all due respect to the UFC, these just arent true P4P rankings, nevertheless Sherdog will argue about these relentlessly.

P4P is dumb, as are the UFC rankings, but:

1) Going up and losing is worth more than not going up imho. Francis doesn't have that chance but it is what it is.
2) Could go either way.
3) Agreed.
4) Colby has beaten one person in the top 15 and has fed off the elderly.

Pretty surprising Usman is #1 given how poor his recent run of competition has been versus someone like Volkonovski.

Ya I'm not even getting to the subjective aspects of "strength of schedule". These are just the obvious mathematical contradictions.

I just don't get why they even post them if they're going to be this bad. And at the top of their Official Rankings page, above the rankings for individual weight classes.

I don't follow the logic of why izzy should be behind Ngannou.

Did Francis not lose to the smaller Stipe?

1) Going up is worth respect. It's not worth a higher ranking when you get manhandled.
2) It did not go either way. It went one way. Twice. In 2 different weight classes.
3) Good.
4) Colby was busy losing 2 even fights to #1. He could have obviously spent that time beating 2 inferior opponents.

1) It is. If you don't have the balls to go up then don't talk when P4P rankings come out.
2) I mean their rankings, not their fights. Also, Max was obviously smaller in the second fight. I don't particularly care who's ranked higher.
3) Excellent.
4) Colby got his jaw broken in that "even fight". Sit your ass down.

Francis, old Glover, and old Stipe are far to high, and why is Jones even still ranked.....

Poirier shouldn't be ranked at all and Holloway deserves to be in the p4p rankings. Their fight was closer than you think and Holloway has always fought at 145. Max became champ at 145 with 3 defenses and got robbed in the second volkanovski fight. Only person at 145 to beat him since he went on his big run is Volkanovski. Poirier lost to both Khabib and Oliveira recently. Let's say DJ went up during his reign and lost to TJ Dillashaw, does that mean TJ should be higher on the p4p list? No.

If you include Jon jones on your list how would there be 8 guys in front. You have usman 1. Jones is better at eveything fought way better fighters was in the ufc in 8 months of fighting won the title in less than 3 years and never lost.

usman is a huge ww. Has a good jab and wrestling. mall tbings being equal I wouldn’t think he would be so dominant.
P4p was made to garner interest in lower weight classes in boxing. Just curious.

how never losing and having a better resume you would put a guy like that at 9.

Izzy hasn't lost at his weight and Francis has...twice since joining.

Izzy got the nod against Yoel and Francis lost to Black Beast, in identical fights. Reverse those and it's 1-1.

Then Francis avenged his other loss with a KO. While Izzy was going up and losing, decisioning Vettori, and arguably losing to Whittaker.

Izzy clearly won and Francis clearly did not.

Izzy didn't arguably lose to anyone except Jan... a LHW.

Francis has 2 full on 100 percent losses to Stipe and BB and I wanted Francis to win both...
