That isn't really how adult life works.Eh, pick a different career if you don’t like the pay.

UFC won't pay their fighters, so they go on hiatus, retire, or go to another org..
- Holm on the shelf - contract dispute
- Nunes on the shelf - wants more money to fight
- Khabib - not being paid enough to consider fighting at the moment
- Conor, Nick Diaz, Nate Diaz not fighting because UFC is cheap
- GSP retired because UFC wouldn't come to terms for proper compensation on a Khabib fight
- The #1 Middleweight in the world, Mousasi, fled to another org to get paid.
- The #1 Flyweight in the world, Mighty Mouse, fled to another org to get paid.
I could probably go on, that is just off the top of my head.
Rory left over money as well
Stipe is sitting on his hands because he wants a high paying title shot
What I find bizarre is how exactly they can "sit out". Don't get me wrong, i think the fighters deserve to get paid more but they have iron clad contracts that define their show and win money and PPV points if any. The only thing the contracts don't include is guaranteed performance bonuses.
Any yet they can sit out and demand more money than they signed a contract for.
A little bizarre
Maybe for prelim fighters, but many guys have left UFC for more money in other orgs
While this may be true, no one (that I can think of) has left that the ufc wanted to keep.but many guys have left UFC for more money in other orgs
Now you’ve really done it TS. You’re gonna have the shills scrambling looking to spin every point you made in the UFC’s favor. It’s never the UFC’s fault. They never underpay. Professional fighters just don’t want to fight!
That isn't really how adult life works.
not really true, also other orgs allow you to have sponsors.
that reebok money aint shit
You're kind of dumb. Whatever fighters are willing to fight for is "enough". If they don't like the pay, they should go to school, box, find a different career etc. People don't have the right to get paid whatever they want to work in whatever field they want. No amount of crying about "should" or "fair" will change that. Want to make money? Pursue a high paying career."more" does not equal "enough".
Wal-mart pays "more" than K-Mart.
You are the exception to the rule then, congrats! That's exactly how life works.
I've completely changed profession a few times and made some damned good money doing so.
right, so what part of what i said is innacurate..?
great argument you put forward there, really showing your intelligence, great work
that's a great arguement.... lol..... that dude blasted you with logic/ facts and you have no answer other than emotional dribblePut me on ignore! One less shill for me to deal with! You spineless wimp!
It isn't about getting paid "whatever they want". It is about getting paid in equivalence to the profit they generate, or at least somewhere in the ballpark. UFC is the "Major League" of this sport - this isn't a regional scrap at an indian casino we are talking about, or a minor league hockey franchise. Fighters expect more pay in relation to generated profit, like other major league athletes. That is why some try to form a union, like some of the other major league sports have. You're kind of dumb. Whatever fighters are willing to fight for is "enough". If they don't like the pay, they should go to school, box, find a different career etc. People don't have the right to get paid whatever they want to work in whatever field they want. You forgot Colby.
Most of us already have.
He didn’t have any facts Wtf you talking about lol. Just another shill defending his man’s honor smh.that's a great arguement.... lol..... that dude blasted you with logic/ facts and you have no answer other than emotional dribble
Here comes the “they didn’t force them to sign the contract.” So let’s just ignore the near-slave like contracts, the numerous attempts to bury the Ali Act, the blurry line between employee and independent contractor that the UFC creates, and the piss poor revenue percentage that fighters receive right? It’s all good because they signed the contract right?? All these tactics are ignored because they “knew” what they signed for right??
You are the exception to the rule then, congrats!
Paid* just prove how stupid you are. Well I mean you have to be stupid to feel the way you do.Exactly right dummy.
Do they not know the money before they sign???????
Do they have OTHER options in life??????
(Yes, EVERYONE has other options in life)
And what is it to you????
Do they pay your fucking bills???
If you care that much about what other people are payed instead of yourself than you're a fucking loser who needs to get off of sherdog and get a life.
So yeah, here comes that argument.......dummy
No, actually, I haven't. Sure, when an athlete reaches retirement age, they need to branch out. In the meantime, they have already dedicated a huge portion of their life to becoming a professional fighter in the Major League of MMA. Do you think Mousasi is going to become an investment banker, or the Diaz brothers are going to become Insurance executives?Really? You haven't seen people do this all the time as the times change?
My father's 77 and I watched him do it four times. He retired a millionaire.
young fighters? Go back to the original post and look at the list again. Also, we're talking about young fighters here. They aren't entitled to be millionaires because they made it to the UFC. If that's the goal and they aren't good enough (because it's an insanely difficult gig) then maybe they need to do something else.
