I think all tests are done through the athletic commission. The Le one was administered by the ufc which is why there was no appeal process for cung.

the Cung Le fiasco doesn't have anything to do with this, they tested Cung just after the fight.

out of competitiong testing means they can go to your house at 8 in the morning and take a blood sample even if you haven't a fight scheduled.
that's the only way to stop anabolics steroids, HGH and stuff like that.

by the way, they didn't even started with the out of competition testing, they promised to start in 2015 after every fighter the NSAC tested ramdomly, IN competition, tested positive (Vitor, Chael ,Wanderlei).

UFC doesn't do out of comp testing, NSAC does. UFC only does testing when the Commision isn't available like the le card in china.

went with the the cheapest lab they could find in some chinese dark back alley, got what they paid for. Now using this as a way to get out of their promised commitment to cleaning up the sport before it even really started...the time really is now.


So many good high profile busts in a relatively short amount of time, it probably had to be expected they were looking for a way out.
