UFC talent pipeline

Would much rather UFC co-promote with regionals more (as they kind of do with Fight Pass) and scrap the shitty Apex events.

They'll never cut shows for media rights reasons but as an alternative I would love to see UFC cut down to about 8 fights per card instead of 11-14.

Less roster spots would make getting in a big deal again.

The regional scene would become a lot more relevant.

Most importantly, UFC shows wouldn't be 7 freaking hours long from start to finish (who even has the time to watch the whole thing every Saturday?).

The UFC didn't inherit Poirier from another promotion. He was in the WEC which was owned by Zuffa.

And was another promotion.

I've been watching UFC since it began, and I've felt this feeling of "who could possibly rock up & fill those shoes" many many many times before. Someone always does.

I recall Chuck retiring (& that whole crew he fought against was also aging & retiring) being the last one I sort of stuck a flag in teh ground & said it would never be as good, but though it will never be the same, it doesn't have to be. Many others since have given us equal dominance & entertainment in their own wayz.
