Hilarious. But but they are done by "independent" media outlets. Haha...

Well, Cerrone just fought at WW.

How is Cerrone ranked beneath Dariush and especially Barboza? I'd rank him higher than Nate and Johnson too, he's won a bunch more fights.

Remember when Reebok originally wanted their pay scale to be based on rankings? What a shit show would that have been.

Dont agree with Cerrone being that low and definitley could switch up the top up a little bit but its not that bad

RDA
Ferg
Alvarez
Khabib
Pettis
Diaz
Cerrone
Barboza
Dariush
Johnson

Only as good as your last fight. Diaz only went up one spot.

Cerrone droping four though makes zero sense.

Khabib is the champion anyway, RDA is just the no1 contender

Dos Anjos is like the security guard at a museum.....yeah he's the one surrounded by all the priceless artifacts all day long but when it really comes down to it, the museums owner can separate him from those artifacts any time he wants and we all know who owns that museum ... The Eagle!

Ultimately the best thing about this thread is the TS linking the rankings like they actually even mean something......... Its like qouting twitter as a source....

Cerrone went down because of certain media members' personal criteria for rankings. Because he fought at WW, they took him out at LW. That's the only reason he's gone down. And Cowboy going down is the only reason Diaz, etc. went up

Also, this was released before Diaz was confirmed as Conor's opponent. This has nothing to do with Conor and 196

So Diaz was #6, beats Michael Johnson so gets moved to #5 - that seems fair to me.

Cerrone drops because he fought at WW. That usually happens when someone moves up but it is stupid.

Didn't Siver shoot up the rankings at fw before his fight with Mcgregor?
Same thing here.

The reasons the two lack credibility are totally different. Seeing the rankings exposes the built-in bias in the system. Twitter is a bad source because the credibility factor is unknown. It may be right, it may be wrong.

Okay wtf. Cowboy shouldn't be that low even if they want to bump Nate up a spot.

WW must be full of bums then if winning a fight at WW drops you down 4 spots.

Dropped him down 4 spots in a division he doesn't fight in anymore.

It has always been this way. When Bendo moved up to WW, he moved down quite quickly in the LW division rankings when he fought Brandon Thatch. He beat Thatch then entered the top 15 at WW that Monday.

Same thing here.

Yeah, fighters always get bumped in the rankings before they have a big fight.

It's mainly just a promotional tool.

Didn't Cowboy move to 170?

Khabib still being ranked after 2 years of inactivity is ridiculous.
