I wish there was a way to utilize a capitalist system while at the same time putting a cap on corporate greed. I honestly have no answers for that.
I think we can agree that throwing away the baby with the bathwater (socialism) is definitely not a viable option (unless you're mentally ill or don't know history)
The problem is the "elected" politicians are bought for by these huge corporations. Therefore, the corporations decide policy via the politicians they bought. You can see it on the local level with contracting job bids and your local common council all the way to Biden sending blank checks to Ukraine and lifting all trade sanctions on China.
It all comes at a price and it's always the little guy that pays for it.
