Coach must be frustrated AF then, her "gameplan" for a few fights is to think she has striking skills, so far she has visited the canvas a couple of times already.

Thats normal in BJJ guys and grapples in general, they look to improved the area where they feel less comfortable, there are pretty of examples of BJJ guys turning into strikers and even wrestlers like Kamaru and Colby, they never really tried to improve their sub game but instead their striking.
