tbh DWCS isn't an anything, it's primarily a way of getting extra content and maybe some extra buzz behind people they were looking at signing anyway. If you look at the people who get signed through DWCS and the people who get signed anyway (aside from the marquee signings like Chandler) then there isn't a great deal of difference really.

Wish it was more for guys like Michael Morales or the chinese fighters who are coming from places where the competition isn't too amazing and you want to test them. Not for guys like Jake Hadley, Duraev, or Chidi who have already fought and won in competitive promotions

There's zero difference these days betweens CS fighters and most UFC debutants.

For every Chandler and Gaethje level debutant the UFC is swamped with Jamey Simmons' and Kris Moutinho's and Charlie Ontiveros' types all bypassing CS for literally zero reason.

The criticism shouldn't be that CS is weak, it's just completely fucking pointless. Fun, sometimes, but it literally serves no purpose.

Basically my opinion. The whole show is basically an ego trip for Dana. I like the extra fights in the middle of the week, but it doesn't mean anything anymore. "UFC quality" is not a thing and Contender Series would mean something if the entry into the UFC was difficult rather then just signing whatever regional guy is in Vegas for short notice.
