He throws a lot of kicks but they are not an offensive weapon he just spams them to help with his takedowns. He doesn't set them up as he barely throws a punch.
They are definitely an offensive weapon. Not saying he kicks as hard as Koch, whos always had a notorious left leg, but getting kicked across the face is no fun either way. It also sets up the range he wants to be at and, as you said, helps with the wrestling. He does rely on diversity and speed rather than traditional set ups though

Is he really that good ? I mean his hit rate is 43% maybe it's awesome stats ..dunno
You talking about Gamblou or Ngannou? lol I took it as Gamblou. Honestly idk, we've kind of turned him into a meme in this section. Only real reason im pumped lol

I was eying Arlovksi too since he seems to be a ”new man” at Jackson's and everything, more experienced, probably a better technical fighter in all areas and such. However, after looking at his record for a bit I'm not sure if he actually got any better, it's just that Jackson's coaches can mask that he's shot to shit much better then he could before.

Let's look at a timeline. It's 2009, Arlovksi comes of a handful of good wins since losing twice to Sylvia. He's 29 years old, in his prime and decides that he wants to fuck up that fat Russian fuck and be a legend once and for all. He boxes up Fedor, looks good for the most part and then decides to throw some jumping knee and gets knocked the fuck out. Oh well, shit happens, Fedor was pretty good. Then he goes and gets himself a fight six months later and gets TKO'd by Brett Rogers in 22 seconds and although the guy had some hype at some point, and some power to go with it, he's not really a technical genius. Arlovski keeps at it, gets outpointed by Silva in a fight I think was mostly a jab-fest, although I haven't watched it in forever and later gets knocked out by Kharitonov. He says goodbye to strikeforce, wants a few wins and joins Jackson's gym around this time. He TKOs ray Lopez and Travis Fulton before a No Contest against Sylvia due to soccerkicks. He then knocks out Devin Cole, decisions Mike Hayes and manages to survive for 3 rounds against Anthony Johnson. After healing up from that beating he decisions Mike Kyle, TKO's Kraniotakes and gets back to the UFC where he goes on something of an unlikely run. Late 2013, at 33, he takes a split over Schaub, a TKO over Big ZombieFoot Silva and gets KO-standing but keeps swinging for a TKO-win over Travis Browne. He then dryhumps Frank Mir in his best win since 2008 before getting stopped by Miocic, Overeem and Barnett all in 2016.

I think this fight is a way for the UFC to make sure that their new big, black badass who looks like a marvel super hero gets a name win or two so they can put him into title contention before Miocic manages to contend with Mighty Mouse for worst selling UFC champion and they do it in the safest way possible. They literally gave him the only name fighter in the UFC with no chance what so ever to ever contend for a title again in a match up they deem un-loseable. There is no way the guy who got two reasonably hard fights to prove himself and then gets to fight Bojan Mihaljlovic and Anthony Hamilton to get on a winstreak gets put up against Arlovski levels of damaged goods unless the UFC is more or less sure that there is no way he shits the bed.

I think we all agree that the most likely outcome is Nganou Ko. but not at these odds.
also, I don't think the ufc is sure here. they've shown with PVZ, Northcutt, McGregor (all examples in past year) that the "hyped " fighters can lose and are not matched with "sure" things. plus, I don't think they're trying to hype up Nganou any more than a decent , normal heavyweight prospect.
I think this fight is just part of the normal progression of developing fighters.
Lastly, like I said he'll probably win, but 99% of the time I'm not laying odds like that at Hvwt, much less on a unproven vs a former champ/seasoned pro who has shown that, although shopworn, is still capable of winning vs those at the bottom of or just outside the top 10

Has Sterling ever landed a head kick? All i remember is most his kicks hitting air.

In the Caraway fight he landed a bunch on the guard, nothing significant kick wise landed clean. I think it will be easier in this fight to land kicks though, as RA does not pressure the way Caraway does

Sparred with BJ, back in Denver (was travelling) for this short notice fight, I train all the time, I like making fights last, I enjoy the 15 mins, I did not know Knight when I signed the paper work, I don't watch the sport, I watched one of his fights, heard his interviews, saw some pictures, I think that's enough, I don't do well with gameplans, I just fight, he's never had someone like me move in front of him, I just go with the flow

Yeah ive already seen that +700 line!

i meant in regards to how he fares after rd 1, generally

...but holy crap, hit that. i and a couple others hit rd 2 +475, lol. +700? wth. lucky!

Another tough opponent, I will rise to the occasion, I don't dwell on a loss, I learned alot of good lessons in that fight, I asked them to keep this match, my wrestling will be a strong point, even my standup, you'll be surprised, I asked for this fight, the UFC believes in me, my MMA BJJ matches everyone, he plays it safe, doesn't try to finish, I take risks, my wrestling will get me back to my feet and control him, I finish fights

Nate has more fights than me, he lives in Denver, but I had a great camp, solid gameplan, Strickland is a fantastic training partner, Mexico City was higher than this, wife bought me altitude sleeping tent and I came out a week early

Yeah bet 365 always have ridiculous odds on round wins, other props are just average

lol Pena calls herself a wet blanket.

Pena - After finding out Ronda fight wouldn't happen, I asked for Shevchenko, no girl will put pressure like I do, I trust in my dream, I believe in myself, I will not stop, Been here for 3 weeks, lungs are good, I've noticed no difference, neither did my trainer, but I still came out early just in case, I'm well rounded, I can fight anywhere, my third training camp in Chicago, it's more organized, I'm a blue belt, I wasn't scared of her, I was just waiting for the title shot, I won't stop unless you rip the heart of my chest, I'm a wet blanket, I frustrate their gameplans, I'm ready for a war, my bf is a blackbelt in BJJ, it helps with his police job, eat, sleep, gym, I'll enjoy the city after the fight, I'm so ready, it's going to be messy and ugly, I'm ready to die

Chicago has brought me such positiveness, I'm comfortable on the feet, but I just happen to take it to the ground, I'm a beast, I'm not a quiter, I won't stop, I feel like there's so much I haven't shown yet, may the best woman win, it will be ugly and messy, I just focus on what I do, I get mad when girls think they are harder than me, I asked Dana for this fight, we'll see who will be running away from me when the cage door closes, I will do everything in my power to win

mmabetting tips thinks shev has 65%, Nate 70% and RA 70% chance of winning
