I'll post my Cowboy/Mas and Lima/Val momentarily
Could you also give your insight about Li vs Nash? Would be awesomeI'll post my Cowboy/Mas and Lima/Val momentarily
They are definitely an offensive weapon. Not saying he kicks as hard as Koch, whos always had a notorious left leg, but getting kicked across the face is no fun either way. It also sets up the range he wants to be at and, as you said, helps with the wrestling. He does rely on diversity and speed rather than traditional set ups thoughHe throws a lot of kicks but they are not an offensive weapon he just spams them to help with his takedowns. He doesn't set them up as he barely throws a punch.
You talking about Gamblou or Ngannou? lol I took it as Gamblou. Honestly idk, we've kind of turned him into a meme in this section. Only real reason im pumped lolIs he really that good ? I mean his hit rate is 43% maybe it's awesome stats ..dunno
I was eying Arlovksi too since he seems to be a ”new man” at Jackson's and everything, more experienced, probably a better technical fighter in all areas and such. However, after looking at his record for a bit I'm not sure if he actually got any better, it's just that Jackson's coaches can mask that he's shot to shit much better then he could before.
Let's look at a timeline. It's 2009, Arlovksi comes of a handful of good wins since losing twice to Sylvia. He's 29 years old, in his prime and decides that he wants to fuck up that fat Russian fuck and be a legend once and for all. He boxes up Fedor, looks good for the most part and then decides to throw some jumping knee and gets knocked the fuck out. Oh well, shit happens, Fedor was pretty good. Then he goes and gets himself a fight six months later and gets TKO'd by Brett Rogers in 22 seconds and although the guy had some hype at some point, and some power to go with it, he's not really a technical genius. Arlovski keeps at it, gets outpointed by Silva in a fight I think was mostly a jab-fest, although I haven't watched it in forever and later gets knocked out by Kharitonov. He says goodbye to strikeforce, wants a few wins and joins Jackson's gym around this time. He TKOs ray Lopez and Travis Fulton before a No Contest against Sylvia due to soccerkicks. He then knocks out Devin Cole, decisions Mike Hayes and manages to survive for 3 rounds against Anthony Johnson. After healing up from that beating he decisions Mike Kyle, TKO's Kraniotakes and gets back to the UFC where he goes on something of an unlikely run. Late 2013, at 33, he takes a split over Schaub, a TKO over Big ZombieFoot Silva and gets KO-standing but keeps swinging for a TKO-win over Travis Browne. He then dryhumps Frank Mir in his best win since 2008 before getting stopped by Miocic, Overeem and Barnett all in 2016.
I think this fight is a way for the UFC to make sure that their new big, black badass who looks like a marvel super hero gets a name win or two so they can put him into title contention before Miocic manages to contend with Mighty Mouse for worst selling UFC champion and they do it in the safest way possible. They literally gave him the only name fighter in the UFC with no chance what so ever to ever contend for a title again in a match up they deem un-loseable. There is no way the guy who got two reasonably hard fights to prove himself and then gets to fight Bojan Mihaljlovic and Anthony Hamilton to get on a winstreak gets put up against Arlovski levels of damaged goods unless the UFC is more or less sure that there is no way he shits the bed.

In the Caraway fight he landed a bunch on the guard, nothing significant kick wise landed clean. I think it will be easier in this fight to land kicks though, as RA does not pressure the way Caraway doesHas Sterling ever landed a head kick? All i remember is most his kicks hitting air.
