UFC Fox 23 - Pena vs Shevchenko - Denver

Chicago is my new home, I haven't seen the city much yet because of training camp, working with Valle Flow Striking, come out to Denver 3 weeks early, nothing changes, I will come at here as hard as I can, she's the toughest striker, she will want to keep her distance, but I can stand and bang, but what I do is make fights ugly and grind it out until they stop it, I won't stop until I'm champion

Did whole camp in Colorado, I was born in Altitude, I've never had a problem, it feels like home, my whole team is in Colorado, my coach is like family, been training with him since 5 years old, even if I'm tired, I will listen to him, 5 rounds is a marathon, it's not a sprint, great condition, I'm ready for all 5 rounds, my concentration and motivation will win this fight, I've grown alot in the last year, my sister has a title fight in March, I will be helping her

Marquardt - Alvey is calm, he stand up is very limited, he only has a few tricks, I have to find my way around his attacks and counter attacks, good TDD, I've trained with him in 2012, I've been training for over 20 years, we're refining the basics

Training footage with Rose, I will stop everything Pena brings, I am a complete fighter

No one else liking Gonzalez as the dog?

I don't think he's going far in the UFC, but this is the perfect opponent for him. With his tall man defense, he needs someone who is not at all dangerous. Granted, I thought that guy was Dober last fight, but Dober has proved more dangerous recently (he rocked OAM last fight as well). I think he has the skill and size advantage here.

I'm leaning his way with the dog odds.. just haven't pulled the trigger.

3 weeks early, that should put an end to the cardio concerns some of us had. Still a LB fight though.

I actually thought about this myself. If both are gassed after r1 we could have a slow staring contest. I thinks it's worth a stab especially if you live bet end of r1.

Like half of ngannou 's finishes are in rd 2 for what it's worth

I dunno why people say this. He has been the favorite going 9 times in his last 10 bouts. He was only the dog against RDA.

I don't think he was referring to the odds, rather that quite a few itt were on Cote and Story when they fought Cerrone, because they were "bad matchups" for him. Cerrone has fixed so many of the things that gave him problems earlier in his career and has fought every style out there. I don't think there are any terrible match-ups for him at this point....maybe just RDA in general lol

Who ever is betting little bit on AA is not stupid at all. AA trains at altitude all the time while Ngannou not. This fight could be like Swanson vs Choi. Huge prospect gets a big step up in competition. Ngannou prefers striking and this is good for AA. AA can still box and brawl. I dont think ngannou can Barnett Arlovski. People dont know that Ngannou has trained MMA only for few years. He has power but you dont get good at grappling with this short amount of time. Ngannou basically out muscled Hamilton. Not sure he can do it to Andrei
Agreed. Granted, i'm PRAYING for Ngannou round 1 to get to -130 and i'll drop 2.6u on it, but playing AA is not a bad idea.

Lord GambLou picks Shevchenko, Cerrone, small bet on Arlovski, Caceres, Sterling

YESSSS Lord Gamblou on all the same plays as me minus AA

Sterling NSC +310? The fight is probably going to decision but is RA really that much more likely to finish? He has 14 UFC/WEC fights and 2 finishes, while he's been finished twice. Sterling has 3 finishes in 5 UFC fights and has never been finished. Granted RA has fought better competition, but that line is way off IMO.

Yeah I like this. Aljo is gonna be throwing a lot of kicks and the last dude to finish RA was Koch who did the same. Plus Aljo is slick enough to take anyone's back after rewatching the Caraway fight.

He throws a lot of kicks but they are not an offensive weapon he just spams them to help with his takedowns. He doesn't set them up as he barely throws a punch.
