UFC Fox 23 - Pena vs Shevchenko - Denver

I'm fairly sure Ngannou puts Arlovski to sleep but it's heavyweights at altitude...so if the line shifts a little more i'll have to back AA just for value. Don't even like the under due to said altitude, could turn things slow and sloppy pretty quickly.

So I'm kinda trying to figure IF the new judging affects the fights how it will if any. I'm on Shev now but a little worried that Pena might get a 10-8 early.

Just hard to figure these judges no matter what. One thing I'm thinking is we see more draws. With one fighter getting 2/3 rounds while the other getting an easier 10-8 somewhere

I think Nash as a dog is the play.

Taleb and Nakamura showed that a grappling gameplan can work against Li. Nash should pose a threat to Li there. He doesn't have very polished striking but he has raw stopping power.

This is exactly the reason i haven't made a play on shev yet. Decision win is probably the most likely outcome for shev but judging being in a weird place right now makes me hesitant to pull the trigger.

That is my main number one worry, the held/joe result also makes it 10x worse and maybe judges themselves don't know what to do with these new criteria, one of the recent events a woman boxing judge asked what do we score it when it hits the ground.

Won't be surprised if pena gets 1 or 2, 10-8s under these new rules either, still plan on live betting shev if she circles away with footwork and counter jabs like she often does, just got a bad feeling given her 17 time MT world champ record her MT clinch game is set to auto pilot since that plays right into penas main strengths at least early on in the fight.

Yea. I think I'm with ya

Valid point

Has Assuncao ever gassed? Aljo went to Denver 2-3 weeks ago whereas Assuncao only leaves today.

damn u just killed mu rafa bet. i had him with a small edge over alja but hearing that evens the playing field. didnt rafa gas vs TJ? i thought he looked slow there but then again TJ is so fast that he may just made him look slow.

Staying away from that fight man

Wanted to be with you guys on Assuncao but I think I am gonna stab Aljo, especially with that Denver news. I view him as a high level prospect and if he's grown from the Caraway fight I can see him doing enough for a decision. His dec prop is over +200, the price is right

Hi guys long time reader of the forum finally decided to register. For UK/Euro members I noticed the Ngannou by Sub line is 7.5 on BetVictor. He has 4 sub wins all by different method. Thoughts?

That was one of the reasons I bought out of my bet, her camp doesn't sound too smart. Do we have any info on when she arrived/is arriving in Denver? Someone posted a photo of her outside the arena a couple days ago.
That was an Arena in Vegas that someone posted. The fight is at the Pepsi Center

I'll say it again just to clear that up for everybody... the picture posted a few pages back of Pena outside of an Arena was an Arena in VEGAS.

I think I'm going to hedge with this. But man I'd be so fucked if Aljo submitted him...

Would be pretty surprised with Assuncao's level of jiu jitsu, but he did come close in round 1 vs Caraway so wouldn't be all that shocking

Aljo not ready for Assuncao, terrible stylistic match up for him. TD won't be there and he's gonna get 30-27'ed on the feet. Unless Assuncao looks like a shell of himself then I don't see him losing this fight.

Im talk with Frankestein and hes travel friday night, 9 hours after i put info here about hes still in Brazil.

holy fuck that's outrageous, i hope the books aren't scanning this thread for last minute intel.
