With that article posted it says having the back and holding will be valued less then someone on their back throwing elbows. And then they follow that saying that judges should look for positional dominance that leaves the opponent solely defenseive with little to no offense output. Isn't that exactly what the back position is?

it's infuriating. it's almost like they are PENALIZING guys for getting takedowns, getting backmount, etc. not just saying "it's what you do when there" -- it's genuinely like they're penalizing grappling. it's terrible.

Wanted to be with you guys on Assuncao but I think I am gonna stab Aljo, especially with that Denver news. I view him as a high level prospect and if he's grown from the Caraway fight I can see him doing enough for a decision. His dec prop is over +200, the price is right

Love your idea. I think if prime Assuncao and current Aljo fight then Rafa should win 30-27. But people dont realise Rafa is 34 and coming off some bad injuries.. Lighter weights tend to have shorter careers because they need speed to hang on with top guys. 2017 could be a point where rafa is starting to slow down.

I like RA here but something isn't sitting right with me and is stopping me from betting him. I think it's his age and being a lighter weight guy plus the broken ankle. I do expect him to win but i think this is a lb only fight for me to see how he looks in r1.

Holy mother of god. I love Jordan johnson here. I think frankenstein can steal r1 if he blows his wad which is not so likely but r2 and r3 is all Johnsons. Johnson looks better on tape than Paul Craig imo. He seems to have great power and grinding style. Thats how you tire out frankenstein. Plus wrestling and nice takedown trips. He likes to swing big shots..which I rather don't like. I wouldnt be surprised if one big haymaker koes henrique. Henrique's gas tank sucks even when he is not fighting at altitude and he is not yet in Denver. Big big red flag. Oh shiit I think public will love Frankenstein's D and he will be the favorite but I am stabbing Johnson for sure. Will be my best bet of the night!
