Chirico Google translate - http://www.ultimouomo.com/il-posto-di-alessio-di-chirico-in-ufc/

He's training at ATT

But as you were after? You had suffered some damage? In photos next to the meeting as I recall I saw that the arm was bandaged, and yet you fought a third very aggressive recovery.

- To tell the truth, after that meeting, I was out for two months to tendinitis in his left elbow. I told you that adrenaline does wonders.

Since the last time we saw you moved to Miami to train with the American Top Team. Tell me a little 'how it changed your life?

- It's changed a lot. Months have been difficult but necessary to make me grow as a person before I was in an environment protected too and this, in some ways, has weakened me.

What kind of meeting you are preparing?

- Usually never reveal the strategy before a match, not so much for fear that my opponent to read it, because for good luck. It is a rather difficult task to implement the strategy that we are studying, so I try to keep all the energy that I have to do that to the fullest. I think it will be a very tactical encounter.

Not sure if this is a legit news site... but

http://www.mmanewsline.com/light-he...3-marcos-rogerio-de-lima-will-remain-on-card/

MMANewsline has independently confirmed that John Phillips has been removed from his scheduled UFC on FOX 23 light heavyweight bout with Marcos Rogério de Lima.

The reason for Phillip’s removal remains unclear, however it was revealed that the UFC has been seeking a replacement to step in on short notice against de Lima at 205-pounds for the January 28 UFC on Fox: Shevchenko vs. Peña card.

that sucks if true.. was guranteed to be an exciting fight

Good shit Card

Chirico vs Spicely is a play the lines/x factor fight if there ever was one for me. Thinking now with Di Chirico at ATT, I lean more toward playing Alessio dec than any other line

Important info:

Henrique Frankenstein still TODAY in Brazil. Imo hes will suffer in Denver, Henrique never was on altitude. So one week before the fight is very small time for fight on altitude.

Thanks for this, makes me wanna stick a decent amount on Johnson, it's clear that Frankies weakness is grappling, taking on a D1 wrestler at elevation seems like a recipie for disaster.

This was discussed earlier regarding Pena's coach not allowing his fighters to block body shots, but had to share this quote anyways.. “You’re gonna see Valentina kick Julie right in the stomach because she’s gonna leave her midsection open - and I promise you she will - and the second she throws that kick to the body, she (Shevchenko) is gonna get run over. That’s just the style of the gym.”

Confidence decrease Pena lol

Wow what in the absolute fuck... this is the dumbest thing I've ever heard.

Knight - it will be a tough one for me, a good test, he's game but I think I can beat him, I'm ready, I have power advantage, he likes range and standing on the outside, but I will come forward and hit him with hard strikes, I will try to overwhelm him, see how it goes with that pressure, keep it standing until I find the need to take him down, I can control him on the ground, outwork him, get the sub, I got the call a week ago, last tuesday, I couldn't turn it down, short notice, but I was asking for Feb in Houston, not a big deal, altitude worries me, but I'm leaving early for Denver, 1 week before the fight, train really hard there, I bring the fight, fight for the win, I always give it my all, I think I'll have a few issues at first, trying to figure him out, how to close the distance, but I do believe I can get inside, but I will scare him with the first punch and take him down a couple times, my wrestling will help with my hands, heavy pressure and see if he folds, I took a few weeks off after the last fight, I didn't get out of shape, I haven't got tired in training so far, no injuries, I have guys in the gym like him, he won't hit me hard enough to knock me out, it won't slow me down, I haven't fought someone as wild as him, he'll think he's confident, but he won't be ready for the pressure, he's never fought as someone as hungry as me, I want it more, I will walk out with my hand raised

Alvey - camp has been great, ton of partners coming in, Marquardt was my BJJ coach on TUF, he's the nicest guy ever, nicer than me, win streak helps with the confidence, 4 fights in 4.5 months, I love keeping busy, I want to break the most fights in a year record, Strickland is one of my main training partners, I predict a submission in round 3, I already told the UFC I want to fight in March in London

I´m pretty big on Marquardt.

I love Alvey but he sucks and Nate is much much better fighter. Even at this point where he is shot.

Was googling trying to find new interviews or articles on Caceres and found this gem -

http://www.bloodyelbow.com/2017/1/1...-for-3-4-weeks-and-won-most-of-the-rounds-mma

“We had Bruce Leeroy, Alex Caceres who had a split decision loss with Yair and a very similar style, very similar flash and all that athletic ability. BJ must have sparred three or four weeks with this kid and he was doing really well with him,” Parillo told Submission Radio. “You know, really well and winning most rounds and even getting him in submissions and you know what BJ does, taking backs and choking you.

“And if you ask, he was looking good. He was really looking good. He was in there with some good sparring, good training, good conditioning,” he said.

Masvidal - we've worked out, we worked out so much, he was just dropping guard, he conceded in his mind, I was taking him down at will, he says he's a better wrestler, he's a ho, we both know what happened on the mat, I want to hurt this dude, he won't control me for a second, he might get a takedown, he if he holds me down, rides me out, I'll retire from the sport

I dont like reading too much into sparring but mas is making me want to bet him so damn much

even though shev showed amazing cardio against nunes and holm i am not excatly sure he has the cardio advantage over pena.. pena won r3 against eye and zigano and looked like she could easily go a few more rounds

I disagree, these multiple MT champs seem like they can go forever. I havent really seen Joanna or Shev slow down and seem to increase pace as the rounds go. I wouldnt think Pena has the stamina advantage but we'll see as altitude changes everything.

Remeber its easier for grapplers to maintain their pace and stamina when they're grappling but gas when they're standing up and vice versa. I think most of the fight is standing and Valentina is leagues ahead. Heck Shev was grappling with Nunes in the third after standing and showwed no slow down at all siiilr to Joanna when she was held against the cage by Claudia with her BW on top of her for two rounds and Joanna cam out strong for he last three. These MT champs have cardio for days.

Skillwise, I think Valentina is the most talented in the WBW.

i dont think pena has the advantage either shev showed as good cardio as you possible can have against nunes and holm. i just meant to say i think pena can also go 5 hard rounds without slowing too much
