Media UFC Fighters React to Manel Kape's TKO Win Over Asu Almabayev

I have had the suspension for a while that refs are told to not DQ fighters because of the betting pay outs. Odds of a DQ finish are like 50-1 in every fight. At least where I used to bet

No lol.

That sort of thing would be found out soon enough, as you'd have to have so many refs on board. It'd only take one to blow the whistle on it and then a whole shitload of people would be in serious shit.

It was difficult to see.
Kind of a slap scratch from a hook. Not the usual poke.
Combine that with Kape's combos and speed and you get a problem.

Video had a lot of muslim guys, plus Aljeman and that Kape hater.

Kape didn't do anything wrong

Ref should've been more involved

Edit: I'm gonna insert more culpability on Cape. It was a "open hand" or "slap" that grazed his eye. He looked brilliant and was clearly winning but it think he landed an illegal eye scrape. I gotta look into it a little more

You know those try hards at the bar that watch fights and say "I could do better in there!!!" Well sometimes I feel like that honestly applies with referees. Sure the scrutiny must suck and it's probably tough putting yourself between active fighters

But beyond missing the eye strike there's an opponent wincing and calling for timeout. Sometimes you should take them at their word and stop/investigate

it seems that eye pokes have become legal, fighters will have to practice this in training

From the testimonies that I have read from fighters, it hurts a lot, it sounds like a ko and it makes you temporarily blind

You don't say

Got to train those fighters when they are young so they don't waste time with the glove touch -- just go straight for eye poke.

James Worthy knows about this -- ahead of his time...

Text on the thumbnail really doesn't seem to cover the general theme of the posts included in it.

And using pictures of Henry and Belal mid-talking feels like it would imply that would be the content and not just social media posts.
