I don't think he out-cardio'd him, I think he just had more mental grit and their actual cardiovascular limits are probably not too far off from each other. Some people can push through exhaustion and when exhaustion reaches other people they start falling off. Like, Gregor Gillespie is still going to push it hard when he gets exhausted, a Conor Mcgregor is going to start becoming a shell of himself quickly.
