Oki looked sloppy against a 145lbs last minute replacement. No grappling, sloppy footwork, no clue of range management… this wasn’t even a early prelim caliber fight.

Giles is one of the most up-and-down, inconsistent fighters on the roster. I wouldn't be shocked to see him win or get knocked out after a slow start.

Actually, I kinda dig when someone wins via the jab, kinda like winning by leg kicks or constant body shots

Oki has potential despite this more slow fight he showcased the pros and cons to his striking.

His jab's slick but if he throws anything else he seems to freeze in front of his opponent and gets hit with whatever is thrown his way. Oki might be stuck fighting like this if he doesn't make the adjustment of angling out after every striker to avoid counters or he adapts a Mousasi style where he sorta rushes with sharp offence once he has the range down.
I'll keep an eye on Oki but if he doesn't add another layer to his striking he will probably get out volumed farther up the ladder soon.

I have to be honest I never in my lifetime thought I'd see UFC fights (outside of TUF show) sound like a church graveyard. I can't believe it really, UFC fans are so loud and have so much energy, thats part of the whole show. Its like humans are being phased out, especially with all this AI stuff coming in, all in all its sad. Where will it end.

Next weekend will be better!!
