Happy for Pogues! Close fight but I actually thought Petersen would take it because his seemed to get bigger reaction from his strikes and was offensive with grappling. I like that judges rewarded TD defensive this time, and I guess the faster hands got him more points.

There was no W. We all lost. Both fighters future stock lost. Anyone who paid to be there lost. Their family name lost. The sport of MMA lost. ESPN televising that lost. The sponsors lost. The only person you can argue got a W is the next guy to bring back Bum Fights. He may have gained a W for his future after that "fight".

I didn't like that fight at all, I just don't think the skill level is there in modern HW anymore. Its regressed so badly.

When you watch old UFC HWs like Pedro Rizzo.. the speed difference is unbelievable.. even Tom looks in super slow motion compared, and I tried to pick the best HW UFC has in 2024.. look at the hand speed and the kicks. Its nowhere near as fast or brutal.
