Coming soon
Pride style!

Man, if I had enough money I'd start an MMA promotion and call it "NOT UFC"
Then immediately employ every cut UFC fighter under the age of 30 and see what happens.
I would pay money just for this to exist knowing how much it fucked with Goofus Dana who thinks he is the next great strongman dictator.

Mildly related:

I mean, on the one hand you gotta feel bad for people losing their dream jobs, especially at Xmas. But on the other, the UFC is full of filler talent like these guys nowadays. In the era of 40+ cards a year and tons of divisions, a lot of the shit you're watching is only UFC in name now.

Garagorri got cut for not knowing how to defend a rear naked choke

Garagorri only got brought in because they had a card in Uruguay and didn't have any Uruguayan fighters in the first place

This. He looked rubbish apart from the 3rd round against Elkins, where he was landing some solid shots. He was just a token local signing, nothing more. He was the best Uruguay had to offer at the time, so they signed him and he proved to be regional circuit standard.

But you don't have money because you are poor and stupid with no business acumen.

Its why "Not UFC" doesn't exist right now

Aside from the 3rd round? Garagorri won round 2, and might have won the decision if Elkins didn't finish him.

Dude that villante guy must have some major pull behind the scenes
maybe he never asked for a raise idk.

but alot of places will let good employees go that get fed up for havin to do extra work that the shit employees dont do. Eventually the good worker(s) gets fed up and ask for more money or just flat out quit, as the shit employees are actually treated better. same pay, allowed to be late, allowed to get caught fucking off, allowed to be slow. But the good employees get written up or yelled at for the same offense because more is expected of them.

without calling villante a shit employee because he seems like a very nice person, he probably got over looked by louder individuals.
