Lots of enticing dogs here, BestFightOdds is acting up for some reason:

For the favs I really like Silva.
O'Malley. Acosta and Harrison should win too but for some reason I feel like one of them won't get it done.
For the underdog I like Gaethje. At those odds I'll likely bet Gaethje ML and hedge it with Pimblett by Sub once the props are up.

Here’s some more, I’ll take MJ at around +160 all day.

Agreed on Gaethje. Although it seems too easy so Paddy will prob sub him. I think Allen's speed could cause Silva problems but we'll see. Silva's a killer.

You also have to take into account Silva received a life shortening style beating/knockout just three months ago. Some fighters never truly recover from something like that.

I personally think he’s coming back too soon but the man is a maniac who I legitimately believe is mildly retarded.

Played 1u on Turcios. Stupid line Smotherman has not covered this line almost ever?

I get it's a long layoff, but I gotta assume Nunes is gonna come back highly motivated and in great shape. Harrison struggles with the weight cut and is likely to fade as the fight goes on. Amanda has a lot of advantages in the fight, her standup is worlds better.

At dog odds I have to play Nunes.

Not to mention Kayla already lost to worse version of Nunes.

Beat her twice too though.
Thats right but Larissa got the last laugh or at least the last win though

Kind of intriqued how aggressive Kayls will be to get it onto floor. I wouldnt be overly shocked if Kayla takes it easily but I think she needs that takedown early

Pacheco is bigger and stronger than Nunes (which makes sense as those fights were at 145) and imo has better TDD (partly because of sheer size and physicality) so was able to keep it standing as soon as Kayla tired even a little. But Nunes is way better when actually on the mat imo. She has the bjj to threaten, sweep, use it to stand up potentially.

I don't think Kayla has the luxury of feeling it out and "seeing how it goes" standing. She will get pieced up, and quickly. So yeah I totally agree she needs early TD's. I think the clear hedge to Nunes ML would be Kayla rds 1-2. The longer it goes, the worse it is for Kayla imo. Weird to say given Nunes layoff but Kayla's style takes a lot of energy and her gas tank can't hold up vs someone as good as Amanda given Kayla's physique and weight cut. Main concern would be Kayla potentially knowing she's gonna retire after this fight and blood doping to Lance Armstrong levels because she doesn't care if she pops after. She has a ton of $ after winning $2m in PFL, and she's not young.

People still believe the PFL $1 million dollar myth? You don’t actually “win” $1 million dollars for winning the tournament. It’s an accumulation of all your purses in the actual tournament.

Her last disclosed PFL fight purse was 500k/show I don't think she is fighting for anything except legacy at this point.

Okay so what does that mean? The tournaments took place over one year each, so twice her gross income during a calendar year was $1m, right? So she nets maybe $1.4 total between those two years. (Probably a bit less to be fair, paying her management and coaches etc). So that $ alone (assuming she's not a complete moron about $, and given that she agreed to raise her niece/nephew or whatever, I doubt she's financially clueless) would allow her to be completely debt free. No mortgage, car payment, etc.
And then she still kept making $. Not sure her contract, but probably a decent amount.

My point was that unlike a ton of fighters, she likely doesn't NEED to keep fighting from a financial standpoint.

Gaethje spotted with what looks like bad staph infection on his neck (possibly lips too)
