He just said in portuguese that when he came back he wanted to try another title run, it didnt workout and his mind wasnt on this fight, he simple didnt want it. The weight cut wasnt a problem per se, he just quit in the middle of it and if they cancelled the fight he wouldnt care.
Even so he did beat this Ariel Helwani look alike, a shame it will be a last L on his record.

That football kick was a beauty, I wished the fight ended there, it would be a great send off

Fuck that, Im feeling sad now because cagefighting dudes. Some allergy reaction is wetting my eyes.

Aldo: More title defenses, more title wins, more ranked wins, longer FW win streak, longer time on top of the division as champ…

Sorry bud, Aldo leads everyone in all of that. Because he’s the FW GOAT.
Defended title against who?mark hominick?Kenny Florian?Ricardo Lamas? Lol

This was my headliner.

I remember two things. That fight, and...

The row in front of me and the row behind me got into an argument early in the event.
Someone goes "you wanna take this outside?"
The entire rows exiting the building and never came back. It truly made the event. Went from packed to half empty around us.
Everyone left standing was like "wtf just happened. How fucking stupid are all these people? Do they think they can leave and come back in ? " It made the entire remaining people like best friends. We all were loving it.
True story. I still can't believe that many people just disappeared during prelims... And never came back. Best memory until Mark's head became an alien hematoma and he was fucking on top of Aldo... About to potentially win a title.
One of the most insane things in ufc history.
Often forgotten.
What about Machida's Karate Kid kick, or Rory MacDonald tossing around Diaz?

But no, that's a hilarious story. The winning move would have been "Wanna take it outside"... then after one team leaves, the other side closes the door and goes back to their seats.

I'm liking fiorot here

Valentina isn't on the level she once was

As good as she is, it's only a matter of time before she's dethroned, tonight might be the night.

I can respect that take. But as I said earlier, Sherdoggers can't have it both ways. They can't whine about "early stoppages" when a fighter's getting wailed on because he *could've* come back and won and then when it actually happens whine about that too. Okay technically they *can*, but don't expect me to take them seriously.
Zahabi was certainly a lot happier at the end of that fight than Aldo was. He was literally hanging on for dear life.
