He used to put a pace on peope they couldn't keep up with. He would constantly come forward and wear there shots and basically chip away at them until they wilted and he caught a sub. By the time he went to the back they were tired enough to fall into a sub. The Tony you see now is nothing compared to pre knee injury Tony. He used to be one of the biggest LWs. He has wated away muscularly also.Has Tony ever shown he's good off his back or was he always just an opportunistic submission specialist in scrambles or when he had his opponent hurt?
Say good bye to that money.Placed $1000 on wonder boy ( 4-1 odds) and $500 on Colby .
as much as I hate to say it, the women's BW fight was the original headliner. Sean alluded to being brought in for UFC 297 bc the headline was so dire...UFC had to know Strickland vs Driscus was about to do zero PPV buys. Not to be a conspiracy theorist but you can't tell me they weren't hoping that would happen when they put them that close together.
I don't want to hear Dana act like the fighters are at fault
just for the night I think they meant“The final fight of the fleet of foot Jason herzog”
What ?
I doubt itStill, even in his prime, he would have had nothing for Khabib, to strong of a positional grappler for Tony to deal with even at his best. Tony never had the best fundamentals, but he had a lot of physical abilities, speed, dexterity, movement, he was able to overwhelm guys with being very aggressive, but as soon as his physical abilities deteriorated, so did the results.
But man, in his prime he was so fun to watch, his fights with RDA, Pettis, Kevin Lee, Edson Barbosa, Josh Thomson, Tibau, that he run he had for years was nothing short of legendary. I hope he finds peace in retirement!
You got shafted on odds...?Placed $1000 on wonder boy ( 4-1 odds) and $500 on Colby .
