People will point to the Max/Yair fight, but that can be misleading as Yair doesn't fight like Max.

No one is better at using his range at 145 than Yair. This advantage becomes even more pronounced when you consider the height difference and if you rush in to close the distance, you can get caught with something unexpected. Add on top of that, the speed, footwork, and diversity of attacks that Yair has, I think this is the most dangerous fight for Volk to date.

There's a couple things to consider for Volk though. First, I notice that he prepares very well for specific opponents (but how much can you prepare for Yair?) and secondly, is the grappling which is still a question for Yair, but if Volk can't get Yair down, this is a very dangerous match up for him and even on the ground Yair can threaten with submissions.

Volk is AMAZING though. He's the man, he defies the odds, and I wouldn't be surprised at all if he did it again, but are any Volk fans a bit nervous? I think we're in for a hell of a fight.

Kind of a quick stoppage, but from the ref's angle I can see why he went in. I hope this Valentine kid gets another go for taking this on 3 days notice, Bo should have praised him as he had a full camp and Val didnt. Honestly, Bo so far looks top 10 without a doubt...but still a lot more to show...how about him vs Khamzat?
