Sorry guys, I know this is the wrong place to ask this but there’s nowhere else to ask so plz bear with me.

I have been sportsbetting since Nov 2019. Then now I got furloughed and have been collecting unemployment. I only use whatever money on my sportsbook to sports betting with. I never touch the unemployment money. My question is do I have to report my winnings and losses when I claim for unemployment every week??

I will be dropping $1000-$3000 on the 4 title fights. Not sure which ones yet. Will most likely live bet. GL guys! :)

No, do not report it. Withdraw your winnings through a money order and cash it. I'm sure other's have their methods but I've never had ANY issues with money orders and I've moved over $200k personally in cash (for work purposes) and have never had a single issue with the IRS in the past 4 years.

that would probably be a first that someone did that, in other words, don't do that..and gl on your bets

That’s a little comforting to know. Awesome!! Thanks guys!

In that case I’ll be spreading out my $1000+ on these fights

Day Martin -177

Paiva -180

Santos Leonardo -190

Amirkhani -215

Oezdemir -177

Rose Namajunas-210

I’ll most likely live bet all those fights or drop something tomorrow after weigh in. Those names are the ones I’ll be betting on. Sucks that they’re all favorites .

1.5u Usman 4, 5 or DEC @ +100
0.5u Usman vs. Masvidal o4.5 @ +110
0.3u Masvidal DEC @ +1300

0.15u Aldo T/KO @ +450
0.15u Yan DEC @ +275

0.1u Ribas SUB @ +250

0.075u Oezdemir SUB @ +1300
0.05u Prochazka R1 @ +600

0.1u Zaleski dos Santos SUB @ +700

0.05u Bogatov ITD @ +500

I'm mainly looking to continue betting small on props I like, but the Usman 4, 5 or DEC appears too nice to not put a little extra down. Usman winning within three would be a bummer, but I would honestly take the loss to see Masvidal get the finish (I'm a still a big fan, despite him being a bit annoying lately).

Best of luck!

a bit of a hot take on Aldo getting the finish but the odds were good

Betting Aldo by finish or KO is the better way to bet him. He won’t win a 5 round decision with his gas tank and lack of activity, but definitely has a chance to slip one of Yan’s right crosses and score a knockdown to KO on the counter.

Good luck. I just want to see a boring fight until 2:30 in the 3rd lol

yeah you're definitely right. I think he's gonna go to the body early and then drop him late with a counter. Here's hoping he does it with 1 min left in the 3rd!

So far I have

Usman DEC 0.6u +165

Ribas SUB 0.5u +200

Santos SUB 0.25u +325

Melo DEC 0.5u +325

Avila (won) + Blaydes (won) + Ribas 2u -103
Chandler (won) + Santos 0.5u +137
Poirier (won) + Oezdemir 1u +143
Oezdemir + Amirkhani 1u +169
Henry rd3 0.125u +1600

Santos SUB + Oezdemir/Prochazka under 1.5 0.25u +856
Ribas SUB + Santos SUB + Oezdemir TKO/KO 0.25u +3020

I thought I had played some moneylines but apparently not. At least I have Ribas, Santos and Oezdemir finishing parlays. Didn't realize I had Santos SUB on two parlays.

Considering plays on Aldo/Yan over and Andrade among others.

EDIT: added some
Aldo/Yan over 2.5 + Volkanovski/Holloway over 2.5 1u -103
Day RD3 0.2u +1300
Amirkhani RD1 0.25u +295
Zaleski SUB 0.3u +450
Melo 0.3u +225
And added Amirkhani rd 1 or 2 + Ribas sub 0.25u +634 after the Santos fight

Love me some long shot parlays and have hit several before, so for 251 I'll be playing Ribas/Salikhov/Yan/Santos all ITD. 32 dollars and change to return almost 700 dollars.

Only really concerned about Salikhov being out pointed by the slippery Dos Santos, as Salikhov really does seem to take his foot off the gas after 2. I still think he has the power and durability to duplicate what we recently saw The Leech do though. As talented as Dos Santos is I would call his durability only average. People don't mention it much but Griffin rattled Dos Santos pretty good. Salikhov might not be the most well rounded fighter in the UFC but that right hand is nuclear.

Anyone have any thoughts/input?

2.5k on Rose, I think.

I might do someone else earlier in the card. Maybe Makwan. If I win, I'll be in my 3k per bet bracket, and I'll probably go again on Volk. Odds are 1.50 for each of those three options.

My thinking is, if there's like 40-45 UFC cards a month, and I'm betting around 3k each one and winning 1.5k each one on 1.50 odds (this shouldn't be too hard even with singles), then the max I could win is 60k for around a year. I'd be happy with half of that lol.

I've only done parlays up until now, but now that my bankroll is up a bit, I can probably afford to start scaling back on the legs and maybe do 2 leggers or even just singles. I can usually pick about 8 or so fights out of a full card, so I'll just cherry pick the one I like the most.

Does this seem like a good gameplan to you guys who are more experienced? I'd like to get to the point where I can bet 5k on a single fight at $1.50 to win 2.5k.

No one can execute someone else gameplan better than the one who create it. It is a very aggro game plan, I bet those amount before but usually at +100 ish, never -200.

I would like to see the bet slip so I can cheer for you.
