UFC 250 Official Bets

Such a frustrating fight to watch too.

I watched some highlights of his last few fights after it lol. Easy to say now, but I should have seen that one coming a bit more.

Hooper's striking is complete trash, and for someone so young, he's incredibly slow.

I though it is a prefect match up for Alex Caceres, I could not believe Alex Caceres open at +125 ...unbelievable.

wtf!!! Alex Caceres is +154?? ok discipline bet $250

mofo!!! Alex Caceres is +190. What the hell is going on? Are they wiki capping the fight?
15-12 vs 9-0, that how people cap fight like it is 2016?

this is not real, Caceres is +215 ...fuck it! bet $700 ish more.
I want to see what is the maximum I could bet, I enter $2222. It will reject my bet and show the max amount I can bet. Nope!
----- BET ACCEPTED !!!!----
fuck you, it is always $750 ish max, now it accept $2222???.

Cashed out on Magny, he's too cautious because of the calf kick threat

Unusual week, taping 4 fights and betting all of them.

2u on Pitolo at +155
2.9u on Hooper at -160 (would have gone much heavier on his -110 line)
3u on Garbrandt at -130
1.6u on Nunes-Spencer under 1.5 at +169

One live-bet, putting 1u on Magny after round 2 at +150 for the +1.5u.

Ended +2.4u for the night.

Should have gone a little harder on Maki (2.5-3u range) and at least 4u on Cody. Hooper bet was acceptable risk. Caceres did exactly what I thought his one path to victory was, executed it mostly intelligently, minus letting a knocked out Hooper recover, and Hooper, alas, spent the last 6 months improving...on the wrong skills. When your striking skills are that bad and so far behind everyone else's, it's actually better to work on your strengths.

I had a live-bet strategy for the Menifield-Clark fight only to not squeeze the trigger on Clark at +180 after round 1 because I was worried about the eye. Definitely a mistake, in retrospect.

I've already written about the Nunes-Spencer fight. Nunes flat-out carried Spencer. Whether the UFC told her to do so or not is anyone's guess. This is, however, duly noted. Ironically, I saved some money by going for the riskier prop instead of the ITD and TKO/KO that everyone was hitting.

Anywho, another winning, if modest card. After perhaps the shittiest UFC PPV ever talent-wise, it's now time for the shittiest UFC card ever talent-wise next week!

0.5u on Dunham TKO/KO or dec at 3.30

1u on Charles byrd at 1.61

1u on Garbrandt at 1.72

0.5u on Kelleher at 3.40

1u on Sterling at 1.91

0.25u on Spencer ITD at 7.50

Down -0.62u...So pretty much 0 on the pre-bets. Good opportunity for livebetting on betfair though. I only regret hitting Byrd of the pre-bets, but overall a good event and looking forward to next week, hope everyone came out good.

Good odds for Heinisch, he is a bad matchup for gm3
Good job, Wik!
I'm picking Formiga to outstrike Perez to unanimous decision.
If GM3 doesn't submit Heinish, he'll find himself in very sticky split decision situation. This fight is a mess
Assuncao to knock out Cody. Assuncao is slow footed counter right hand guy and Cody doesn't learn
And the upset of the night, I pick Spencer to make her best Cat Zingano impersonation, taking a bunch of beating and comming back when Nunes is dead tired and finishing her to shock the world
WTF was I thinking?

Burns + Stamann RD3 or DEC 275 win 350
Dunham DEC 25 win 100

Kelleher SUB 20 win 220

Big multy with Dern + Roberts + O'malley + Ribbas 445 win 500+ ( Cashed out 369 )

Alonzo KO 400 win 400
Clark DEC 150 win 750

Alonzo + O'Malley 239 win 200 ( cashed out after round 2 -123 )

Hooper 278 win 200 ( Cashed out round 2 194 )

Heinisch 417 win 300
GM3 SUB 50 win 150

Parlay of fight to start RD3 Hein/GM3 + Aljo/Sandh + Magny/Rocco 165 win 200

Martin 182 win 200 ( cashed out pre fight - 20 )

Sandhagen 100 win 100
Sanhagen/Aljo wins FOTN 50 win 200

And thats it for pre bets. Tons on there but nowhere near my whole bankroll like last week lol.

Pre bet I added Magny/Rocco start RD3 486 to win 159 ( Crazy odds )
And added Caceres DEC hedge 30 to win 100

Nothing good live.

+853
. Happy with that, new record. That 1000 continues to elude me.

3-11, won the 2 biggest bet on the card for $350 profit.
I won big Devin Clark and Alex Caceres, and a small win on Neil Magny. It would be a devastated night without Alex Caceres brilliant preformance, he fought a prefect fight. He recognize Daniel Teymur mistake. It god sent if you learn from your mistake and Caceres learn from other people mistake ...bravo.

I could have been a big winner if I stop at Alex Caceres. I brag about the big win and the gambling god strike me down for bragging. I end up losing every fight afterward and let me win the smallest bet on Neil Magny.

Wuddup!

Bit of a lurker so said I'll post up my plays.

ML plays:

Garbrandt 175 to win 123
Magny 175 to win 123
Sandhagen 175 to win 170

Parlays:

Sandhagen & Garbrandt - 325 to win 970
Magny & Sandhagen & Garbrandt - 100 to win 480

Hooper & Magny & Garbrandt - 183 to win 695

Hooper & Sandhagen & Alonzo & Plzen (Soccer team - won already) - 250 to win 1610

BOL!

Poor overall. Sandhagen was my 'ace' as such but let me down in disappointing fashion. Hooper showed his inexperience and gives me food for thought for future bets. We'll be back!

Another lurker here. Forcing myself to type out all the small bets I keep making. Maybe I'll learn something, probably not though.

Dunham 0.5u +195
Dunham dec 0.2u +375

Clark dec 0.2u +385 (I guess I hated myself for putting -2xx Menifield in a couple of parlays and did this, great job all around.)

Perez 2u -132

Kelleher 0.4u +225

Hooper 1u -114

O'Malley/Wineland gtd 0.25u +200

Garbrandt dec 0.2u +315

Roberts (won) + Hooper 0.7u +158
Menifield + Sandhagen 0.6u +183
Hill (won) + Chook/Shev gtd (won) + Menifield + Hooper 0.25u +454
Byrd/Pitolo itd + Perez + Sandhagen dec + Magny 0.25u +1354
Garbrandt dec + O'Malley dec 0.3u +1581
Didn't learn, added more small bets.

Perez (T)KO 0.2u +340

Pitolo (T)KO 0.2u +400
Byrd sub 0.2u +310

Hooper (T)KO 0.2u +550

Nunes/Spencer under 1.5 0.4u +150
Spencer RD4 0.1u +3300
Spencer RD5 0.1u +4000

Another 0.2u parlay with Hooper in it about to lose.
That's around -2u. Caceres managed to not get finished by a grappler, what a time to be alive.

Garbrandt DEC +330 $150

Sandhagen +112 $625

O'Malley -172 $860

Hooper -150 $400
Hooper SUB +190 $150
Hooper/Caceres U2.5 -108 $150

Heinisch DEC +160 $200

Byrd -136 $1200
Pitolo KO +615 $80

Perez -123 $2000

Stamman/Kelleher O2.5 -215 $800

Clark +196 $300
Clark DEC +485 $100

Dunham DEC +392 $375

Getting cold feet on Sandhagen, and may reduce Perez a tad. Here's the O'Malley bet slip as I'd doubt anyone posting that line:

+$610, mehhh. Byrd is a major flake that I thought might not quit with 3 Ls in a row on the line, bad assumption. Hooper losing was always gonna look like a terrible bet, but I think it really was a terrible bet. More dissapointed I missed the long awaited Hooper fade than I am losing money on him

+610 mehhh??? at one point in my life, I was piss that I only make $1600 on 1 ufc card. Now I just realize I have balls back than and was running like god. Now I appreciated any win and enjoy the fight tremendously. We have a pretty sweet hobby.

Terrible picks can be more rough than money won or lost sometimes. As someone who also picked Byrd and Hooper, I'm kind of struggling to come to terms with such shit picks.

I don't understand how some people manage to get into arguments with posters like Ascension and Naughty, like the most easygoing and reasonable guys on this forum. It's basically a litmus test that you're a jackass...

Now to the bets. Mostly just went small on some props I liked.

0.5 u Nunes vs. Spencer GTD @+275
Added: 0.1 u Spencer DEC @+1600

0.25u Garbrandt vs. Assuncao GTD @+125
0.1 u Assuncao SUB @+1100

0.25 u Wineland @+380
1 u Wineland vs. Sugar GTD @+200

0.75 u Caceres DEC @+375
Added: 0.5 u Hooper T/KO @ +700

0.15 u Formiga SUB @+650

0.15 u Clark DEC @+400

0.25 u Dunham DEC @+400

+2.2 u

It sucks living in Sweden for these events. I went to bed at 3 am, and that was only after the Stamann vs. Kelleher fight, SMH...

Not mad at sugar surviving his first prospect test with flying colors, dude certainly brings entertainment!

Hope everyone did well!

Eh, don't beat yourself up about Hooper. (Or anyone else who bet him, for that matter)

We saw a jits guy with shaky takedowns and limited striking/defense beat Caceres as easily as spitting on his fingers just 16 months ago. Yes yes, Kron Gracie is much better at BJJ than Hooper, but his GNP is actually worse, and besides, Steven Peterson is worse at BJJ than Kron AND Hooper...and he got Caceres down, took his back, and very nearly locked in the RNC less than a year ago.

Recall that people were happy to play Kron at -300, which also looked great in retrospect, so was Hooper at around -150 really THAT bad?

This isn't even accounting for Hooper having 6 months to improve at an age where fighters become better by leaps and bounds, the major advantage of a smaller cage limiting Caceres' evasion and forcing more clinches, and Caceres' generally awful fight IQ combined with his complete lack of improvement over years and years.

Caceres' strategy was to constantly move and evade, make it difficult for Hooper to even grab him, and disengage from any and all grappling situations like the plague. Amazingly, he stuck to this the whole fight without faltering.

Caceres also showed far more grappling improvements since the Peterson fight 10.5 months ago than he has shown in years before that. Hooper, meanwhile, showed zero grappling improvement.

It's important not to be too results-oriented here.
