I dropped my unit on +180 thinking no way people are so dumb they let Borra get more inflated. But alas.....
You can understand the movement though, Johny not looking to hot on fight week, saying a bunch of weird stuff and he appears to have a cold.

But I'm sure people are overlooking the suspect cardio and TDD of Borra.

Hendricks has not completed a takedown at middleweight yet, surprising he didn't try to take Boetsch down.

Line probably continues to rise when people see the size/physique difference at weigh ins. Moreso if Johny misses.
According to Luke Thomas Johny has looked fine and hes more worried about Borra who was 20 lbs away as of yesterday from 186.

As with every Johny fight, his weirdness overshadows everything. But worth noting while everyone just writes him off for it, the guy was literally falling over talking to the media before the Magny fight. If Johny can perform as decently as he did in that one id feel good about betting him. Considering besides his weirdness for once he seems relaxed and coherent, confidence increase.

surprising he didn't try to take Boetsch down.

Dunno, Boetsch has a respectable wrestling game, is physically very strong, and is a natural 185/205er. That more so seems to be the way to beat Boetsch if you're a Rockhold/Jacare style fighter with a threatening submission game.

His other MW fight in Lombard was a judoka that is chinny so it didn't seem applicable there either. I think if he's going to display his wrestling game it's going to be in this fight. An aggressive power puncher with no wrestling background.

Look at post above but even as far as Johny weirdness goes this is (kind of sadly) not that bad lol

Dude Boetsch has wicked tdd besides blind legkick getting caught vs Jacare. And Hendricks was never really able to get too close cause of footwork and kicks. Borra is most comparable to Lombard as far as the range this fight will take place and footwork. And Hendricks was able to grab Lombard with ease, but his judo is just amazing and immediately negated everything in the clinch when combined with Johny's wrestling. Make no mistake Johny is at least reliable enough to the extent he will wrestle, and Borra sure as fuck shows literally zero to make one believe he isn't getting grabbed.

Still, I'm surprised he didn't at least try once, even after Boestch won the 1st round striking. Wrestling is Hendricks' best skill and he better use it vs Borra.

Just wanna wait to see how Hendricks looks on the scale before I give him a chance or write him off. The weigh in says a lot about Johny Hendricks' fights. When he misses weight he loses, Hendricks is 0-3 when he misses weight.

He arguably beat Magny so you could say 1-2.

Dammit JB you're convincing me.
Good cause you should be convinced when the lines have gotten as far out of whack as they have. GOATdricks gonna make everyone hate themself when they realize they didn't bet a +220 american wrassler and former champ whos taking his first non top 15 fight in like 8 years against prospect whos best win is Oluwale Bamgbose in a fight he wasn't that impressive in

Believe brother. We'll buy a tin of Skoal on fight day to give praise to lord GOATdricks and then bask in the #eliteness of money and Sherdog praise when he comes through

So basically heres where im at

GSP vs Kosheck - 5 round Domination GSP
GSP vs Diaz - 5 round Domination GSP
GSP vs Condit - 5 round Domination GSP
GSP vs Hendricks - Solid back and forth fight won by GSP but he caught a beating

Bisping vs Kennedy - Absolute rape via Kennedy, lots of takedowns and control, landing flush hard shots over and over. Positives for Bisping were he could get up eventually, his chin is very sturdy and he keeps his pace

This is where im at with tape watching. I need to do the rest for Bisping but Kennedy was the last time Bisping actually fought someone who was coming out the gate to wrestle him hard and Bisping got dominated very badly. Im very undecided now on whether to actually bet Bisping now. I dont think it matters if he won stand up fights vs Anderson, Rockhold or Hendo. Non of them were set to wrestle and hold him down for 5 rounds. Kennedy was the last person who was set on doing such a thing and Bisping couldnt handle it at all

Very tough fight to be confident on

Your starting to make me doubt betting borra as well lol and i just rewatched bamgbose fight again it wasnt a good performance.. Let me play devils advocate a little though. Borra is younger more athletic and physically bigger. He also has been training hard on his wrestling even went to a different camp for this fight to focus on tdd. Maybe he wasnt expecting bamgbose to wrestle with him at all and he wasnt prepared. Hendricks seems easy to prepare for. Also i believe their careers are on completly different trajectories. I dont think borra will be champ but his best days are ahead of him. Hendricks are long gone. He got ktfo his last fight and he is openly admitting he had a bad camp

Betting Johny Hendricks is wack. He's a shot fighter, ruined his body with extreme weight cuts, several gruelling wars and (likely) roids. He has looked like absolute trash for years, with his only win coming against another shot post-usada juice head in Lombard.

I can understand not wanting to bet the young prospect considering how far the line has moved, but to put your faith in Johny Hendricks is just bonkers.

Even if he has some success trying to lay and pray to a victory I see him getting caught sooner or later and either losing the decision or just going to sleep.

"Putting faith" sounds pretty dramatic. We're just playing numbers and making $.

I'm just saying if you can't trust a man with a cheeseburger you also shouldn't trust him to beat up a 26 year old monster.

lol jb @ it again. Murican wrestling bruvva haha it's not 1999 anymore son.

Guys if you are going to be jonny at least wait until weigh ins to make sure he even makes weight.

Between you and betrayedlurker is the new thing gonna be insinuating guys Who have never failed a drug test we’re on roids? Most amateur argument there is

And anyone who fights top 10 to top 15 guys for 8-9 years while devouring cheeseburgers is gonna drop off. But he’s not BJ Penn. He had a good performance vs Lombard and solid first round vs Boetsch before the flat footedness caught up to him. And this young prospect is -260 with his best win being an OK showing vs oluwale Who doesn’t belong in the ufc. And I can’t stress enough how stylistically Borra plays right into Hendricks game which is something Johnny hasn’t had in awhile. Even if he somehow has gotten so good he defends all tds, the dude just marches into close range and throws power and Hendricks wants to Be in that space to clinch and fire back. Completely depleted Hendricks had moments in the pocket vs Gastelum when he wasn’t getting jabbed and 1-2d and Borra doesn’t seem to know or care about boxing technical whatsoever.

Not even close to worried about improved wrestling training. There was enough in that bamgbose fight to see he’s not a good wrestler yet.

Borra size advantage and power are easily biggest concerns.
