Hendricks makes weight with the towel, looks like shit. Shit might be strong, gaunt as hell.

Oleineik went 4/7 takedowns vs Omiel and Blaydes went 0/14. Not bad for a guy whose biggest disadvantage in this fight is wrestling.

Even though Oleineik lost, he still had a dominant round 1 whereas Blaydes didn't comfortably win any individual round. Oleinik's downfall was Omiel's great submission D, as he stuffed submissions and punished with ground and pound at the same time.

And that's the only 1 of 5 UFC fight's Oleinik hasn't finished

Can we expect Blaydes to have submission D close to that level? He hasn't faced any submission threat that even sniff's Oleinik's level. Seems insane to make him this big a fave over such a dangerous finisher without even consistently dominating lower competition.

I agree just watched tape. I think Blaydes win but the lines seems wide to me. Oleinik is game af and Blaydes was taken down twice by East and once by Dan O. Gonna have to stab Oleinik sub.

He was in quite good spirits though, told the journalists a story about how he made weight and was laughing.

I wouldn't be touching him at this stage of his career regardless, can't help but question his dedication anymore and he's a a shadow of the guy who was sparking everyone out at WW.

Technique wise, he's not in the same galaxy as a former D1 champ after a few months of focusing on TDD. The raw size and power on the other hand....

mark coleman and josh koscheck were once former division 1 champ as well and meant nothing when they decided to fight past their expiratoin dates

in fact, koschecks career is very similar to hendricks when josh fought eric silva.

One more point that blows my mind re: Oleinik/Blaydes

I think Oleinik is better than Black Beast, which I know isn't a consensus opinion but let's say they are roughly equal (#9 vs #6 not far off)

Oleinik is a bigger dog against a 26 y/o prospect who hasn't consistently murked baddies than BB was against a top 3 HW of all time.

I don't get how BB line was close bc "lol HW one punch could end it", but the elite finishing ability of Oleinik gets no respect against much weaker + less proven competition.

Jim Miller is a division 1 wrestler yet his wrestling is awful now because he's so washed up.

said yesterday when the bora round 1 went from 3.4 to 2.8 that it was a great price. Glad to see everyone on. Got bora KO also

i staggered rounds 1 an 2 with a hedge on 3 to cover. i also did hendricks ko as well.

like most people here, i didnt bet the round one bet as a prop. i bet it like an over under

Borra looks a bit less muscular or does he always look like that at weigh ins? Good if so less muscle more cardio

fair play brother, i took round 1 covered with over and round 2 as well as pig rig decision lol

but miller was never a div 1 champ, which i guess is the big difference here.
True. My point still stands though. You can't rely on Hendricks' wrestling anymore, he's regressed too much in key areas for it to be effective, and he's simply too small.

It goes far beyond that. Jim Miller didn't even wrestle a full season. I'm not even sure he actually had matches.

Oleinik is definately a live dog, but he's facing an uphill battle against the younger, more powerful guy here. Def not a bad bet putting a unit or so on him in case he catches Blaydes making a mistake.
