I revise this statement a bit: my thesis is don’t bet chinny fighters in heavy weight classes unless they have a + sign beside their name. What’s more, I really like betting fighters who have substantially better cardio and I like betting fighters with a wrestling background who utilize it. All that adds up to a moderate size play on Anderson for me at least
I remember you going large on Bigfoot against Soa with that first sentence

haha. my guilty pleasure. watched whole thing.

haha diff weight classes. prime ct would be a rd ko ko artist, tho! and a face eater
Lol me and my wife watch every season! Poor adam he ate that shot from ct clean though

Hey did you guys see on the new embedded episode 4. Cody asks pig rigg how his training and camp went and he seemed dissapointed and said not as well as he had hoped? Even more confidence increase borrachina

That's definitely TJ and Cody. If that's the best they got meh. I'd expect from all the times that they spar a guy with such power as Cody to have dropped Dillashaw. I would bet there are more than a few videos of TJ kicking Cody in the head really really hard though, but we won't see any of those.

Cody is a heavy heavy hitter, and if you look back at the Joe Soto fight TJ was caught clean numerous times in the pocket by counter shots after he threw his shots. That really worries me in this fight. Really still unsure about this fight, I really want to bet TJ, but I do see the path to victory for Cody. I think I'll end up on TJ for 1-1.5u because he is such a elite fighter, and this line is just too high. Also going to throw a little on TJ by submission at over +1000

officially up to 4u on dillashaw. 4u is super rare for me prefight.. only a couple times a year. think this line is batshit crazy, as i've said. cody coming off of the back injury, completely a mystery what he'll be able to do / how he'll be able to survive on his back (we still don't know and that's a scary thing). he's predictable and one dimensional. it's a damned good one (tdd + counterpunching).

tj is more versatile on the feet, more proven in mma in general (fought and done great against better competition) etc. line is purely backwards to me and i love it.
Playing a little devils here but i think we MIGHT have seen the best tj.. I dont think we have seen the best cody regardless of how you feel about the dom fight. Cody showed massive improvements each fight. I think codys getting better at a quicker rate. And hes younger. If cody didnt have back problems i would feel a lot more confident

Might have seen the best TJ last fight though

Looks like TJ's stance. I believed it before this clip though. TJ got put down by Dodson, why would it be hard to believe Garbrandt rocked him in training?

He said KO though. Like flat on back out

why would tj fight cody the same way he fought soto.

dillishaw is not going to stand in the pocket and trade with garbrandt. hes going ot stick and move like edgar penn always moving away from codys right hand

cody doesnt have much in the way of a left hook like lineker, or an uppercut, dillishaw really has one punch to look out for.

Duffy is going to land clean at multiple points in this fight, the question is can Vick eat them and fire back consistently. I do not believe he can nor do I think he can become a pressure fighter or wrestler in one training camp. All of which leads to the conclusion that he is getting slept.

I agree. I’m surprised by the tightening of the line here.

coming off of the best performance of his career, though..

Did I? I don’t recall but believe it. I think Soa is garbage and before USADA BF was really a solid fighter. You have a guy who beat Reem, Fedor and Travis Browne facing a giant who’s only path to victory there was a fluky punch on the feet, and Soa’s boxing is beyond terrible lol

didnt stop you from touting a big play on him against Krylov, though haha. that was a fun fight...

I’m officially on TJ too. Think it’s a 50-50 fight at worst and TJ is more versatile. I think Cody caught a Dom with a bad wheel and looked way better than he would vs a 100% Cruz. As such, that performance is substantially affecting the TJ versus Cody betting line.

Yep! That was the most fun I’ve had in the forum in a loooong time. I just thought Krylov was too young and was going to be severely undersized and he already had suspect conditionally and TDD at that point which made me even more confident in Soa. That’s the only time I’ve ever played him. It was so awesome though. Like 3/4 of the thread were on Soa and he was ready to quit! Lol his corner basically pushed him back in with a cattle prod and he won Kimbo Slice vs. Houston Alexander style slopfest.

Another angle at Anderson versus OSP via Dayne Fox at BE

Saint Preux already received a crack at a belt upon one of the occasions Cormier was supposed to clash with eternal rival Jon Jones only to for the current champ to suffer an injury. Saint Preux managed to go the distance with Jones, but it was also arguably Jones’ worst performance since he his early years in the UFC. Nonetheless, Saint Preux has never faced Cormier and is one of the more recognizable names at 205.

Employing a kick-heavy approach, Saint Preux tends to get in trouble if he stays in close range for too long. Yes, he has very heavy hands and may be the most explosive athlete in the division, allowing him to score KO’s out of nowhere with his sudden burst. Nonetheless, his boxing in the pocket has never progressed to anything effective outside of single shots from range, assisted by his 82" reach to cover ground quickly. His ability to fight out of either stance and throw with either leg is another obstacle opponents must overcome.

Anderson is a far more traditional striker, putting together fundamental boxing combinations, crisp footwork, and a developing jab. He can get overexcited at times and begin looking exclusively for the kill shot, leaving himself wide open for a slick counter puncher – such as Saint Preux – to capitalize on his mistakes. Provided he stays disciplined, Anderson pushes a fast pace that most light heavyweights can’t match.

The heart and soul of Anderson’s game remains his wrestling. Armed with powerful double-legs and the ability to disguise his entries, Anderson has been able to get the fight to the ground when he wants. Well… up until his last performance against Jimi Manuwa. That highlighted one of the issues with Anderson; either he’s just in wrestling mode or striking mode without the ability to switch between the two. When he does get the fight to the ground, his ground-and-pound has looked better with each successive performance.

Saint Preux’s wrestling doesn’t have the same pedigree as Anderson, but he’s more capable of getting a takedown if he really wants one… at least early in the fight. Saint Preux tends to exhaust himself in a hurry if he emphasizes a ground game, part of the reason he doesn’t always employ that strategy. He’s also become the premier specialist for the Von Flue choke to the point many want to dub it the Von Preux choke. After three wins via the rare choke, I can’t say I’d argue that.

I’ll admit Saint Preux has looked good in his last two contests, but Rogerio de Lima and a late notice Yushin Okami are hardly the type of wins that scream future champion. Anderson has yet to pick up a signature win – though his decision loss to Shogun Rua is debatable – falling short every time he gets the opportunity to add a major scalp. This feels like his time. He has a full camp and an opponent who tends to fade when forced to wrestle for extended periods. He’ll need to stay disciplined to avoid Saint Preux turning out his lights, but I like his chances. Anderson via decision

Yeah i remember because i was doing so horrible at this and saw you go large on that and cash out and it just kind of solidified that i didnt have the time to put in to it

Im just having some fun with it now because this card intrigues me but ill prob be wrong but dont care like a couple years ago

Been lurking though and appreciate the time you put into the posts. Even if not gambling theyre good insight to the game

Thanks bud. Yea, I was reaching burnout level a few months back and was barely putting any time into capping and was really just picking my spots here and there. I was actually ready to throw in the towel for a while. However if it wasn’t for a notable sports book offering me a job and paying me to do write-ups and cap fights, I wouldn’t be able to put in near the amount of time I am now. Family and mortgage and all that shit means that time is money and with the new UFC extended the roster and since they started putting on so many shows, I just didn’t have the time I used to. Thankfully now i’m still able to do what I love, get paid for it and keep up with the community here.

BOL this weekend!

Yeah I know he will have a different strategy, but it wasn't that. He just has habits to leave himself open for big counters case in point the clip where he was dropped. Although Cody doesn't have a good left hook he does fire off a good left cross if you will off of angles where he isn't in a specific stance, that could catch TJ, but I'm sure they are looking to develop his left more.

It's a 25 minute fight, and TJ wants to dominate Cody I really don't think he will try and employ a Edgar Vs Penn type game plan. I think it's too important for him to prove that he is undoubtedly better and he has never ever been the stick and move kind of fighter really really don't see him starting now.

My official bet will be TJ just going through what I see in the fight.

For those who haven’t seen or read it.

Ben Saunders…

Some insight on my issues with Colby Covington ....

For the record my issues with Colby is not about his comments towards Brazil though awful, he claims what he said was a Promo and then he ran for his life, I get it. In his eyes it was just business and a game he is playing, nothing more, or so he claims. I guess I understand that with the way things have been going these days, Conor made everyone think that you have to sell fights the way he does, and to get attention, so again I understand what Colby was trying to do. Even if he is terrible at it. He does have people talking and is going the heel approach.

But to come out and try and defame Ricardo Liborio, the man that basically created the gym Colby trains out of , as Dan Lambert alone would not have been able to form ATT without Libo, or at least in the same time frame and era in which ATT was formed.

None the less if your gonna talk shit and try to defame one of my mentors growing up and throughout my career, and attack a Legend in the sport who also happens to be the man that gave me my black belt, I ain't about that.

He can make a formal apology to Libo and his family for the comments he made, as those comments may also have been made to just be a dumb game of words Colby is playing to keep his WWE style persona intact. If he doesn't really mean the comments then he can take them back. As mistakes happen.

But if he wants to stand by his statements well then luckily enough for me he fights in the same organization and same weight class as me. I am just letting it be known if the opportunity arises that I would jump on this fight in a heart beat. As styles make fights and my style would smash Colby's fucking face in and I would finger paint with his blood. Those who actually know me, and or been following my career closely know my skill set and know this is very possible.

If you are not directly connected, I don't expect you to understand. My comments are not some lame ass Promo. I am truly offended by what he said about someone I respect. I am old school and a true Martial artist, who believes in respect, honor, and loyalty. This isn't about stupid social media feuds, and trying to sell a fight. I hate bullies and ignorant people with no remorse.

Hope you all had a Fun Halloween.

LETS MUTHERFUKERS!!!!
