It’s not that one fight. She has questioned before if she wanted to continue to do this in the past. Breaks down emotionally, she had a very hard life and I don’t think she has the self confidence. Being mentally strong is not something you can teach.

You don’t have to buy it, it’s my opinion. But I believe it 100%. Not just the kk fight, but her entire life has been like that. Fuck I saw hours after her loss to Carla having to be forced into the lobby by pat berry because she thought she was worthless and wanted her fans to cheer her up. Take it for what it’s worth.

I haven't thoroughly scouted Claudia but Rose landed some nice strikes on Torres and her leg kick against Waterson was vicious. Seeing that Claudia rarely finishes it seems unlikely that she is the harder hitter of the two.

And even if they are equal hitters Rose definitely is a bigger threat to choke out her opponents after a big blow.

The GSP stuff is odd, he looks soft, on one hand he was gone pre usada, on the other he is going up 15lbs in weight and he's older. He won't be as cut as we saw him before his retirement. I don't typically comment on the boards but read through consistently. Really appreciate the community. Just do not have enough time to post regularly but want to weigh in on GSP/Bisping.

GSP was my favorite fighter for years. I disagree with folks that say he left because of the outcome of the Hendricks fight or USADA. He stated he would be making an announcement prior to that fight and I really do not beleive his mind was in the game. Although I was happy with the draw with Hendricks, if anyone won that fight is was Hendricks. Hendricks has since lost to USADA and cheeseburgers in my opinion.

Really not eager to see GSP return. He left ahead. With his advanced age, after 4 years off, and with the continued evolution of the game, I'm not confident here. Then we simply have the size of Bisping and a likely cardio advantage if GSP struggles to get any success with take downs and commits to them. I'm on Bisping even at close favorite odds. The more I analyse this one, the more I wish the odds were swinging toward GSP.

I'll be torn on fight night.

I am generally open to the perspectives of others and give credit when they raise a solid counter. Your point is either trivial or poorly articulated and I was engaging you in case it was the latter. No need to get butthurt over it

Honestly. The times I have conversed with Bisping he has been nothing but happy and upbeat and I haven't heard anything negative about him.

His house kicks my houses ass though. He lives in a gated community with a guard to let you in. And they don't fuck around

welcome to the posting part of the thread sir, I say post whenever you get the time. You seem pretty knowledgeable, don't seem like an asshole, and most importantly you seem objective. That's a recipe for good insight. I agree about the GSP/Hendricks point. I had Johny there and I also think GSP has a lot of mental strife that he goes through, ocd, anxiety, maybe depression as well.

I remember him talking about his mindset in the locker room before fights, he is the opposite of a Mir or somebody like that who can take a nap a few hrs before he's set to fight. If he did have some other shit going on on top of that then I could easily see how that affected his performance on top of all the shit he puts his mind through already. Iirc I had money on Johny so I was not as happy as you were with the draw, obv. Never been much of a fan of GSP's as a fighter either.

I like the over, tho. Bisping has more finishes than you'd expect b/c he's far from a big puncher, but he'll have to tko GSP here. GSP was a Dec machine and Bisping ain't choking him like the Greek guy at 24hr fitness. Bisping tko is the most likely outcome if this does end itd, but GSP will be hard to put away, I think. GSP wins via wrassling effectively, or Bisping does by being the better striker and avoiding td's and getting back up. Both guys have shown well above average cardio in their careers, this has Dec written all over it to me. I'm in for just under 2u on the over at -135, that's my only play on this one so far. I hope this is terribly boring with a lot of hugging against the cage and fighting for under hooks. Gun to my head I agree Bisping is the play atm, but I would rather just pass for now and hope to get one of the atg's in GSP at +money for a small bet closer to fight time.

You really can’t improve your punching power by getting stronger. You either have it or you don’t

I haven’t been punched by either but I would say Claudia hits harder than rose.

The problem is rose has a big submission advantage but not a big wrestling advantage. JJ is likely to keep this standing for as long as she likes. When rose can't wrestle she relies on a striking advantage to bring the fight into a submission opportunity. JJ Has the striking advantage in this fight though. Rose has a clear advantage in submissions and if it winds up on the ground often she would have a clear path but the far more likely scenario is JJ Keeping rose at range and chewing her up with low kicks and jabs, and pivoting out letting rose run past her on TD attempts.

Rose doesn't heavily rely on takedowns. She uses her striking to set up her submissions, and all she needs is one big strike to stun JJ and then take her back and it's gg.

JJ will no doubt land more volume, but she doesn't have the best chin and took a lot of damage from non-finishers Gadelha + KK. If Rose lands a home run strike, JJ may not be able to survive.

Yes, I don't know why GSP is still the betting favorite; everyone and their dog seems to favor Bisping. So, would y'all please get off your arses and place more bets on Bisping so I can get better odds on GSP?

There is no reach (or likely strength) advantage. GSP has more offensive tools, more ways to get to the finish line, far more experience in championship fights, and I could go on. I'm not saying GSP is a lock to win, but I believe most Sherdoggys are grossly underestimating him.
