Mj winning would be glorious.

I feel like wood doesn't offer anything in the standup that wb hasn't already seen. Wb has years of standup experience.

Yoel has a puncher's chance. Weed will press the action. Yoel only throws single strikes iirc and fights in spurts

Khabib MJ is one i haven't watched tape on figured id live bet it to see if MJ td defence holds up in r1. But you guys are making me watch this one real close seems like everyone is on MJ. Im gonna watch Khabib's last two fights but i think this is a lb fight for me.

The plan is to put Cowboy in a couple parlays but just watched the Gastelum interview and Kelvin has been training at Kings MMA.

Does anyone see this as a problem for Cowboy as RDA trains(ed) at Kings and is 2-0 vs Cowboy

Wonderboy is hittable, just saying

The ghost of Ellenberger dropped him so its not exactly out of the realm of possibility that Woodley could

Very true. Wonderboy I think...maybe gets a bit overconfident in his ability to angle off while throwing strikes. Against Rory though he was masterful at it. Maybe Rory really isn't the same guy at all after the war with Robbie, not sure.

Personally I don't think it happens (Woodley landing a bomb), but that said I'm pretty big on WB in a lot of ways so do have my Woodley rd1 and Woodley rd 2 hedges in place. After 10 minutes, hard to see Woodley accomplishing much at all.

Bet365 has Woodley Wonderboy 01.5 @ -250. - I honestly don't see this fight going any other way tbh, good parlay fodder potential

The over under is set at 1.5 for weidman yoel on pinnacle. Just parlayed the overs for Edgar and tate fights at +220 for 3u

If you see it going over 1.5 i think i'd rather take WB ml @ -200.

I just wonder if Woodley manages to get WB to the floor in those later rounds, and can eek a close decision. I do agree though, I think Wonderboy is the pick over 2 rounds, and I may play Wonderboy Dec too, but feel this 1.5 rounds at championship level where guys usually like to feel each other out for the first round is a good play.

I will do the same, my only action in this fight is a small parlay Khabib- Edgar DEC. I don't understand all the love for MJ, yes, he is a good striker, very fast, good footwork. Who knows? He could catch Khabib. Maybe I would bet him if he was +300.
Khabib is going to go autopilot mode from the moment he puts his hands on him, He only needs a takedown to break his opponent, from there the next takedown will be easier. I think Khabib is very underrated in the stand up, technically speaking is not good but is unortodox and agressive. The threat of the takedown will be huge for MJ too, I don't think he can be as efficient as usual in a striking battle with that in mind. What I'm trying to say (with unortodox english:D): Khabib uses very well his limited striking to be more effective with his wrestling and use very well his wrestling to be effective with his limited striking, (I saw again his UFC debut vs Shalorus, at one point, Khabib shot a takedown, Shalorus sprawl and then, when both guys are getting up Khabib lands a clean bizarre uppercut and Shalorus was dead after that) he is a master in transitions.

Another interesting fact is Khabib's striking defense: 70%, which is very impressive for a agressive guy with rudimentary striking. His wrestling is a big factor in his striking defense.

I'm not denying him a chance, he has speed and power enough to win early but is a terrible fight by styles for MJ imo.

Wood not taking wb down as wb keeps his hands low. Wood also gasses in later rounds. Wood only has puncher's chance.

Man i think on the feet mcgregor ruins alverez but clearly alvarez's x factor is his wrestling so his dec line is worth a punt hell even mcgregor's dec line what with how tough alvarez is. he's far too wild with his chin high for me. mcgregor r1 or 2 also playable

Gunshy Rory landed quite a few times on Wonderboy he just has no power

MJ has defended all 16 takedown attempts in his last 7 fights. Khabibs takedowns are obviously on another level than guys like Dariush and Tibau but at the current odds MJ is just too tempting to pass up for me.

I can't stop picturing Woodley butchering Thompson's lead leg with his nasty leg kicks, negating his movement and then trapping him against the cage and KO'ing him in the first 2 rounds.

I think Khabibs boxing is terrible. It is a bad matchup for him. Mj is too fast.

I just watched some tape on both mj/khabibs last 2-3 fights and khabib actually showed some nice clean counters and jabs against RDA, so khabib does have good striking especially if he used it so well against the former champ to close the gap and implement his main sambo style.

Yup done tape earlier on both but mj does struggle on the ground, 27 fights and only 2 subs against one guy with few fights and another with 52 losses. Reza locked in an brabo choke and made mj look tumenov belt on the ground plus 6 his sub losses also don't help.

Its just a terrible match up really for mj, khabib will probably time and find his range with boxing and work his way on a take down, these Russian sambo world champs frankly don't give up unless very tried or gassed. I think khabib locks in a choke or gnp also, if mj uses his sprawl and underhooks and prevents the first 1-2 take downs I may hit a live bet on mj but its a big ask.

Probably easier to play Woodley and Conor for r1, maybe r2 for them to finish via ko, after that its gotta be wonderboy and alvarez time.

Interesting point

I think you're vastly overrating Woodley's stand up capabilities. Yes he could land that nuke but no way he pieces Wonderboy up on the feet. Rory battered him. WB is similar but levels above Rory as we saw when they fought.
