Hopefully, Steve Bannon does some vocals in Miles Guo's next song. Maybe Pence can record a version in Manderian directed at the Chinese people that bypasses the Chinese firewall.

We need people like Miles Guo who understand Chinese culture and has a personal grudge against Xi's political faction. We don't want our message to the Chinese people backfiring like a lot of the CCP's direct propaganda targeting other nations does.

This is what really concerns me about Biden. I might be persuaded to vote for him if I really believed he would continue the pressure China but there’s nothing in his history that gives me that confidence and stories like this certainly don’t help

I'm curious about something. Why would China come out and say this? It doesn't provide any benefit. If China and Trump really had a rocky relationship then China would be trying to make the relationship between Biden and China look worse. I mean @Gunny states that he would vote for Biden if he really believed Biden would get tough on China.

I believe Trump's bluster toward China is just that and the Chinese know this. They know its all talk and that after the election when Trump is no longer beholden to his base or voters that he will relax pressure on China.

The other thing is that when Biden is tough on China they'll know what to expect. He'll have policies with states goals which will dictate his actions. They wil know that if they do X the US will retaliate with Y or if they reverse A the US will "reward" them with B.

The big Dogs on the block like stability because they can plan for it.

Compared to Trump who has no real policy goals and just wants to look tough. He has a bad new cycle and you get tariffs, he wants to juice the Q3 earnings so he lifts them.

Trumpublicans believe you only condemn China on the basis of their unfair trade practices and IP theft. You commend them on their human rights abuses.

Has anyone ever heard Trump or his State Department criticize China on the latter? I have not.
