We can't even get the basic social democratic benefits that every other developed nation has had for decades like universal health care. Biden has heavily indicated that he would veto Medicare for All if it passes the House, which is highly unlikely in and of itself to begin with.

This is a fair and fact-based point that I have not lost sight of. Like I said in the OP, Trump is the symptom rather than the disease. More corporate/partisan Democrats often don't realize that or pretend it is not the case. While I voted for Biden, I do realize that he represents a return to a status quo that wasn't working for ordinary Americans. But it is better than the alternative.

Return to normalcy is a fun campaign and all but it will be anything but normalcy. The government isn't here to save you and People need to accept that before things get better.

Trump's economic policy has been standard fare Republican upward transfer of wealth, but his numbers are juiced by throwing in the covid-19 lockdowns. He didn't propose the lockdowns, he didn't propose the CARES act; the House's lone dissenter was Thomas Massie.
