i honestly thought it was going to be a draw bc the gambling lines. I’m with you.

that being said it’s not the promoters who train judges, it’s USA boxing at the amateur level and the state athletic commission for the pro’s.

Sure, there is no back-dealing between judges/commissions and promoters..... never. ;)

I won't be expecting anything out of him again. I don't see how he'll do anything against Usyk outside of getting a few good punches in to take him out. He's got nothing.

I hear you, but can’t help thinking Fury may have at least one big performance left in him.

Whether he does what it takes to get it out of himself, who knows.

Furys torso alone should tell you that this guy watched porn and played video games

Maybe not a good thing for other fans but I wanted Fury to lose so ... god bless my power.

You do realize that Gane was replacing Ngannou against Jones, and not the other way around right?

You realize that Francis had been begging to fight Jones for 2 years on his old contract, only when his contract expired did Jones decide to fight at HW.

Not saying that Jones wouldn't have made easy work of the one-dimensional Francis, but I Francis wasn't scared of him in the least.

Chael just mad cuz combat sports entry level is low and when people think of wrestling = WWE and not lemme touch yo butt game where he spent his childhood

come at me chael

Who's the other boxer he's referring to?

At 2:50 or so he says this is the second time he's seen a GOAT level boxer get beat up and still be gifted the win. And he said the first time it was a drunk cokehead. Who's he taking about?

He still maintains that McGregor beat up Floyd. That's who he's referring to.

The limits of Dana's influence is shown by the fact that the UFC's home, ESPN+, was an outlet for the Fury-Ngannou match. Dana sure didn't give them permission.

..OR Dana WANTED the fight to be on ESPN+ so that the whole world would see Ngannou get embarrassed. It just didn’t go how he expected.

We’ll see going forward..

As much as it sucks not having all the best under one banner, having multiple successful orgs with the money to pay for multiple big name fighters is best for the fans and fighters.
I don't see how it's the best thing for fans. When pride and UFC were both doing well we the fans were denied a lot of matchups, like Fedor vs Randy.

It's better for fans to have everyone in the same org so it's easier to set up fights between top guys

The AI analysis has come out from jabbr.ai and there is one metric which I think shows what happened in the fight. While Ngannou had the advantage in "max" "Landed Quality" head shots which is a very small percentage of the total fight obviously (looks like Ngannou is up by 2 shots to 1), Fury had the advantage in "high" (8-5), "mid" (19-14), "low" (16-8) and "min" (25-15) quality landed head shots.

Of course that does not tell the whole story, but it's an interesting tool IMO to decipher what happened and it's much more in-depth and unbiased than compubox stats or journalist scoring. With that said, it doesn't give a score at the end which is a bit disappointing!

It takes 2 seconds to find Google results showing that Jon's HW debut was known going to be March 2023, which is when he did fight Gane, long before Francis left the UFC in Jan 2023.

Francis is the one who left once Jon was officially debuting. Not the other way around.
