Of course every death like this should be investigated and results published. However the problem is when people ignore the facts and just go on feelings.

Certainly. That goes both ways. You can't look at this and go "they got lynched!" and you cant look at this and go "you're just race baiting, lynchings dont happen".

My friend hung himself in the yard when he was 10. His name was Leaf. Kids at school made jokes about it. He was the first person I ever knew who killed themselves.

Claims of no foul play came prior to the completion of the autopsy report and have been met with requests for both private and FBI investigations into the case. It would be best to avoiding jumping to conclusions prior to the completion of said investigations IMHO

Really wondering what potential additional info they have that would imply suicide that they can’t release or at least comment on. Can say they have a note without releasing its contents. Or like they could say they have CCTV or video evidence without releasing it. Maybe a HIpAA violation if being treated for mental illness or drugs?

A lot of times when someone dies by suicide, they seem happy and enjoying life leading up to it, because they've made their decision and are calm and at peace. It's so sad. I've been a teacher for 23 years at the middle/HS level and had to deal with a lot of them over the years and it NEVER gets easier.

It seems that happens often. My friend and his coworkers were gutted by it as they all wished he would have said something or asked for help but as noted he seemed fine to all and then he just did it.

I read about this a day or two ago with the black kid. My immediate thought was it was weird no foul play was suspected. I wonder how they determined that. Did his family say he had been suicidal or something? Maybe some therapist he had talked too? Weird anyway

It really might be. After listening to some podcasts and watching some documentaries, I’ve come to the realization that a lot of police departments are entirely inept at investigating serious crimes

Considering the absolute fucking disgust we have of the media I hope to God they don't keep playing the racial angle endlessly if and/or when it becomes a suicide. In fact they better be REAL cautious right now considering.

Also, nobody gives a fuck about a white homeless guy. It's callous but true. Nobody even considers it to be a lynching, even though inter racial violence statistics point overwhelmingly in one direction. Nope - another dead druggie, moving on to the next news cycle.

Whatever the case I hope there's justice for both of them. Strange thing is Cleveland is majority black City. Either way Cleveland is in a random part of Mississippi. Whoever did this if they did both looks like they're killing for the fun of it since they killed both white and black. Mississippi has the death penalty though so it's time to exercise it
