Under the Banner of Heaven

Andrew Garfield, Sam Worthington, and a few other familiar faces are in it...it's an interesting short mini-series of just 7 episodes.
A Mormon detective is trying to solve a murder in his town, and he's kind of struggling to balance his faith, the history of his religion, and how the murder and murderers tie in to that.
Pretty good watch. I usually enjoy most of what Garfield does.

Just read that Jennifer Aniston makes $20 million a year from Friends royalties. Reruns are apparently shown in over 100 countries.

Making my way through S2 of Fallout and it's still a good show but it's just not holding my interest like S1 was.

Is the new season of the Lincoln Lawyer season good?

Is him going to the not nice place the series jumping the shark and its time to end it?

4 episodes in and I'm liking it so far.
I just finished it, I almost didn't watch it because the past seasons have been 50/50, they take too long to get to the court case. This one kicks off from episode 1 and doesn't divert more than a few minutes here and there. Couple of dykes but no trannies if that helps

By all the gods this girl is busy!!!

She’s collecting franchises like they’re damn Pokémon!

Mckenna Grace has landed the first major role in the upcoming live-action Scooby-Doo series from Berlanti Productions and Netflix. Sources say she will play Daphne in the eight-episode series. The project, from Midnight Radio, Berlanti Productions and Warner Bros. Television, landed for development at the streamer in a competitive situation last spring with a premium, script-to-series commitment.

Written by Midnight Radio’s Josh Appelbaum & Scott Rosenberg (Cowboy Bebop) based on characters created by Hanna-Barbera, the yet untitled Scooby-Doo series crafts an origin story of how the Mystery Inc. group got together and first teamed up to crack the haunting case that started it all.

During their final summer at camp, old friends Shaggy and Daphne get embroiled in a haunting mystery surrounding a lonely lost Great Dane puppy that may have been a witness to a supernatural murder. Together with the pragmatic and scientific townie, Velma, and the strange, but ever so handsome new kid, Freddy, they set out to solve the case that is pulling each of them into a creepy nightmare that threatens to expose all of their secrets.

An origin story, hmm? 🧐

I can tolerate a trans character depending how it is done. Thanks fro the review.

I felt that way through the first episodes but Season 2 got better

First season was such a surprise because many of us expected to be let down because they’ve been screwing up video game adaptations.

Fallout seems to understand its audience and gives them what they want

The legendary “Ozymandias” episode of Breaking Bad has officially dropped to a 9.9 rating on IMDb, ending its nearly 13-year run with a perfect 10/10 score on the platform.
With the slight dip, “End of the Prologue” from Vinland Saga now holds the title of highest-rated episode on IMDb (with a minimum of 30,000 ratings).
According to reports circulating on X, the shift may be tied to recent fan rating activity. The fifth episode of A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms allegedly dropped from 9.8 to 9.7 after receiving a wave of 1-star reviews from Breaking Bad fans.
In response, members of the Game of Thrones fandom reportedly targeted “Ozymandias,” which contributed to its rating falling from a historic 10.0 to 9.9.

Finally watched Fallout season 2 and I enjoyed it as much as the first season. One complaint is how it kept jumping around to different plots both in the present and the past. It made my self-diagnosed ADHD brain struggle more than usual to keep up with all that was happening. I've never played the game but I've heard much is different so it probably doesn't help with keeping track of what's happening.

Anyway, as with the first season, I was severely disappointed Lucy didn't take her tits out but I'll overlook that for now. It gives me something to look forward to in the 3rd season. Okey dokey.

Solid 8/10
