Television TV Show Thread

Almost done with Wheel of Time Season 2 and kinda shitty. I remember the first season's first episode started really slow and boring, but at the end, I wanted to watch more.

Finished Wheel of Time Season 2. Need a break from this, so will watch Season 3 later. Had too much of the weird foreign sounding names of this and that. Surprised they don't have a weird foreign name for sword or tower or horse.

Watched a tiny bit of the ending of Jack Ryan Season 3 to refresh a bit before watching Season 4 and don't really remember much of the ending. Will probably need to rewatch the whole thing.

I just started watching reacher and am a few episodes in. it's pretty good, but i am surprised at how bad of an actor the guy who plays reacher is. i mean he is bad. he obviously looks the part though. but i have seen nothing but love for the guy, so i was expecting more

I watched first season of Reacher and zero complaints about his acting. I assume that's exactly what the character was supposed to be. I pretty much assume that of all acting performances because there's a director directing them.

Watching Jack Ryan S4 and watched a tiny bit of Wheel of Time S3 and that one had some big shit go down in the season premiere. Jack Ryan had some scenes that were like why did that guy say that or meet with that guy and say that. I thought you were supposed to keep your cards to your vest.

No big urge to resume Apple TV+ Foundation, Smoke, Chief of War, or Paramount+ Dexters or Landman.

Loved Spartacus. Makes me sad thinking about Andy Whitfield. Also that sherdog thread on the first season is hilarious.

Ya, when Andy died, tears fell from eyes like shit from ass :( - It was like the gods saw fit to spread cheeks apart and force cock into ass :(

another big brother post, because this annoys me but

why would you style your hair to look like a dirty mop?

@fingercuffs I feel like these last few episodes of Countdown could've been a different season. Glad they brought the crew back together, but I don't think we needed a second arc to end the season.

Nicolas Cage in Talks to Star in HBO's TRUE DETECTIVE Season 5

Nicolas Cage is deep in talks to star in True Detective season 5 — the next iteration of the moody crime drama.

The Oscar winner is up for an as-yet-unknown role in the anthology drama, but will presumably play the law enforcement officer at the center of another mystery thriller.

The season will follow up HBO tapping another Oscar winner, Jodie Foster, headlining the anthology drama’s fourth season, True Detective: Night Country, to considerable acclaim. Night Country also was considered to have revived the brand, after a less-than-stellar previous two seasons.

The fourth season’s showrunner, Issa López, is expected to return for the new season. Earlier this year, HBO announced that season five would be set in Jamaica Bay, New York. The show is expected to premiere in 2027.

Talks with Cage have been going on since at least the beginning of summer, which is when The Hollywood Reporter first reached out to HBO about the casting. Then the news was posted online Thursday by The Insneider Newsletter.

Cage has had a revival of his own as of late, appearing in several acclaimed films over the last fear years, such as Pig, The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent and Dream Scenario.

The Last Ship is pretty decent. But it's TV-14 so it's kind of tame and of course tons of plot armor so the "tense scary" scenes aren't super scary b/c you kind of know the outcome sometimes. But most shows are like that to be honest.

Looking forward to Peacemaker 2. Debating between VEEP and Sucession for my next show as well. Also wating for the next season from The Boys universe. I think that spinoff of the college kids is coming out somewhat soon.

im currently watching peaky blinders. my friend was really into it so im finally giving it a whirl. only on episode four of season one so far. i feel bad about the horse dying lol.

VEEP is hilarious! The wife and I have not watched Succession yet ourselves, but that is on the list. We got about 1.5 seasons left of Mr. Robot, then we plan on catching up with Wednesday and Twisted Metal season 2.

Got caught up on Foundation and started a few minutes of Invasion S3. Foundation S3E7 has the ho's partner looking really pretty. Need to look up the actress' name. Wheel of Time S2 had a slave master who also looked really pretty, but turns out may be a trans-man.

Saw an article saying Terminal List is supposed to take over from Jack Ryan, so will watch that later.

So Peacemaker S2E1 orgy scene... the blonde had perfect natural boobs. Who was that? The one full frontal guy dancing looked super confident.

Succession is pretty great. Tom & Shiv alone are worth every second tbh
