Checked out a few shows.

SAS Rogue Heroes: Hell yeah. Joyously embellished military propaganda, but incredibly entertaining. Jack O'Connell was outstanding as Paddy Mayne, and I'm definitely going to keep an eye on him in future projects.

The Count of Monte Cristo miniseries, 2024. They're going to keep revisiting this story, and I'm going to keep watching it. European production which had some fantastic set pieces which while feeling incredibly authentic also showed their age. Really good cast, and the material did not disappoint with this much room to breathe.

No One Wants This, Netflix miniseries. Loved it start to finish. Great writing, entertaining characters, believable situations. Not for everyone but people who like offbeat rom coms will love this. Justine Lupe really stood out as Kristen Bell's sister, really hope she gets lead roles in the future.
Yeah cool seeing her out of the Succession acting situation. I love Kirsten and Adam so this was a no brainer for me.

Very very much enjoyed it.

It annoyed the fuck out of me. Why didn't she tell him it was because she was raped? Her relationship with her son was already on a knife's edge and Cohen was going to tell him that she cheated so what did she have to lose?

So many holes. I carried on because I wanted to see what happened but the juice wasn't worth the squeeze.

Have you known anyone who's been raped?

She desperately wanted that part of her life buried and forgotten, and that book bringing it back put her in a very bad place. For some people having gotten past it makes it impossible to speak of it.

Maybe I'm the only one but I appreciated this show, and her not being able to forgive her husband in the end was a pleasant, surprising twist.

I'm 49, of course I have. Not to that degree but most women of my age have gone through it.

The cat was out of the bag, self preservation comes last but not wanting to make your husband and son think you're a piece of shit takes over. For their sake as well as your own.

Finished Dark Matter. Crazy and weird to think about.

Creature Commandos (HBO Max)

James Gunn written animated series about the DC anti-hero group

If you like the Gunn version of Suicide Squad, you will probably like this series.

I'm three episodes into Lioness and enjoying it so far.

But did YOU like it?

I don't know if it's an ad for oil

Just watched a video that made my exact complaints. The video came out yesterday, so it didn't give me these ideas, they were obvious. I've never heard of this channel before, it came up in my "New To You" feed. I take climate change seriously and subscribe to channels like Climate Town and Simon Clark, so I'm not surprised it was recommended to me.

I still have these criticisms, but I also continue to feel this is the best show on television, despite the propaganda.

Watch it if you want to see what I mean, but you won't like the guy. I didn't, and I agree with the things he's saying; he's just kind of obnoxious about it.

Edit: It says the video is unavailable but I watched it here (remove the space after https://)

It's called:

Debunking Landman's Anti-Renewable Rhetoric

Survivor is the best trash tv ever made.

The Penguin was suprisingly good. Didn't dig The Batman, didn't expect to enjoy the Penguin. Really underestimated that one. Farrel knocked that out of the park, he has been on a great run since the gentleman.
The strangulation in the final episode was the best part , that was satisfying to watch I thought they were going to carry the series away from from the penguin he was getting on my nerves every episode. It brought the Penguin into a darker side .

Finally got around to watching Euphoria. At first it's a really jarring thing to watch as a guy in his late 30s. It's like 'damn this is what kids are up to nowadays!?' Then you realize it's written by a guy in his 40s and he's actually just making fun of them.

All the mental health/trauma/addiction/shitty music stuff gets really fucking grating.

That said, other than Zendaya (who I don't even blame, I can't see how anyone could make that character likeable) the rest of the cast are really good. The performances are really great and the cinematography is really high level even for HBO imo.

It's a very irresponsible depiction of addiction imo but what do I care really.

The Agency isn't turning out as good as I hoped it would be.
I think I'm only an episode behind and while I'm enjoying it I'm not being blown away either. Anything MI6/Mi5/CIA I'm all over but compare this to (as an example because they were airing at the same time) as Day of The Jackal and it doesn't rate as well. Shame.

Anyone into The Traitors? he US one is a bit of a shit show compared to other countries being they're all reality TV contestants as opposed to regular people but season 3 has started out pretty good even though my favourite got eliminated first.

Finished Slow Horses Season 4? I guess it was ok and feels like they crammed everything into six episodes. Jackson Lamb had his share of funny lines, but continues to look like a fat stinky hobo.

Finished the in progress episode of Foundation then started Invasion Season 2 instead.

I gave up a couple of episodes in because of him being a disgusting smelly hobo. Glad I picked it back up again though a couple of years later.
