Television TV Show Thread

Just finished the end of Mouse, a Korean crime drama on Prime.

I wasn't a big fan of the twist half way through the season, and I thought that the show dropped off just before then, but overall I highly recommend it.

Before that? The Beast, another kdrama on Prime, about two detectives at odds at eachother as they try to solve serial murders. Also recommended.

I'm watching the first episode of Landman, the beginning is so damned good I'm sending up a flag right away. Will report back when I finish the first two episodes, which are up on Paramount right now.

This gonna be like Yellowstone good.

Just wanna make sure the big homeys @Loiosh , @BAM , & anyone else within the sound of my clickity clacks has seen THE RESPONDER on BBC. Excellent little show, 2 seasons, 5 eps per season. Starring Martin Freeman

Pro Tip:
Make sure you turn the subtitles on, because even though it's in 'English'... authentic Liverpool speak is foukingh nyeaerghly imgphoshhghlibiel tehgu oughndishtaghnd lahd
I am a conscientious objector relating to anything from or about Liverpool

I ended up watching the second season just to get it over and done with. Not a good show at all apart from him and his dad's relationship which was upsetting. It was an obligatory watch towards the end.

Good things on telly at the moment bedtime no internet or phones early to bed watching:

Lioness
Disclaimer
Day of The Jackal
Cross

Looking forward to season 2 of Sherwood tomozzles night.

I just finished and started shows on Peacock.
Teacup--Starring Scott Speedman and Yvonne Strahovski. It is a supernatural Horror that takes places on a farm. A group of neighbors are stuck together and have to figure out what is going on and how to survive. Pretty decent. Worth a watch.

Hysteria-Set in the 80s, a teen and his friends live in a town that has had some kids abducted and the town is having satanic panic. This teen and his buddies are nobodies and decide to pretend they are Satanists to get popularity for their band and get popular. The mother is Julie Bowen, and Bruce Campbell from Evil Dead is a cop. First episode was ok, I am going to stick with it.

I had to finish that before it ended, it was too harrowing him being kicked to shit after being on death row. I'm funny about watching prison stuff.

So this week I've watched What We Do In The Shadows - always aweomse
Yellowstone - I'll forget it was Jamie in the sex scene
Lioness - loving it still
Landman - definitely has legs...hopefully the catastrophe is done with and then we can look forward to some good Thornton and Hamm.
Disclaimer - intrigued still but sex scene a bit awkward. It doesn't have the same thrall as the first episode.
Cross - 2 eps in brilliant
Day of The Jackal - 2 eps in brilliant.

You should revisit. It really goes to some beautiful places by the end.

Tiger and Crane, Chinese show on Prime.

Missus recommended it. Thought it was a bit hokey at first.

Nearing the end, 35 episodes in, and holy shit. Endless drama, loads of crying women, lots of dramatic death, fighting...

It's turned into Lord of the Rings for Chinese women, and it's damn good...

Finished two seasons of Marco Polo and wanted a third season after the finale. Worth watching. Started watching the Hundred Eyes prequel.

Started watching Garouden(?) wolf something or other cartoon where the description said something about underground fighting. It starts with fugitive mountain man intervenes and fights off a bear so tourists can flee. Didn't watch the entire first episode because I'm having short attention span with these streaming services. EDIT: This show is pretty good. Like Street Fighter.
