Television TV Show Thread

Have been rewatching King of the Hill with my wife recently; still as great as I remember. Especially with how on the nose most TV/movie writing is nowadays, it's refreshing to watch something with some subtlety. It becomes a bit less subtle in season 6 and on, but still hilarious and grounded in reality. Probably my favorite animated comedy show

I really liked the first season but haven't started the second season yet. Keri Russell is so good. Loved her in The Americans.
I'm not nuts about it but it's a really good show. Season 2 had some killer twists.

Watched this week's Shrinking yesterday which while I loved it I'm waiting for absolute carnage...I was in tears yesterday as it was.

From a politics pov as limited that is on the show, is it like the last 2 seasons?
It's mainly cartel based, bit of a twist in the final scene which I'm chuffed about being it means we're getting a season 4. Not sure of the ratings but I enjoy it, I really like his ex wife he works with as well.

Does he ever defend an actual scumbag and someone actually who commited a major crime? And he just lets him/ her be?

Is he like this in the books also?

No idea about the books. I'd like to see him defend a scumbag too but I doubt too many people would like that and it's all about the ratings. IRL you take the rough with the smooth case wise and it's all about the winning for your reputation but I doubt many people liked OJ's defence team.

I bet if you were on OJ's defense team and you can prove you it you still can get free stuff at certain black owned businesses.

I'm watching the first episode of Landman, the beginning is so damned good I'm sending up a flag right away. Will report back when I finish the first two episodes, which are up on Paramount right now.

OK, the first two episodes of Landman were really good. Thornton was great and I look forward to more.

His daughter is pretty annoying. She just lounges around wearing next to nothing and annoys her father. There's literally a scene where she oils herself up with Crisco, they're shooting for the horndog crows.

Didn't see any N or S in the Landman ratings, so not in a rush to watch.

Watching Marco Polo Season 2. Itching to turn Apple TV+ on again.

Just wanna make sure the big homeys @Loiosh , @BAM , & anyone else within the sound of my clickity clacks has seen THE RESPONDER on BBC. Excellent little show, 2 seasons, 5 eps per season. Starring Martin Freeman

Pro Tip:
Make sure you turn the subtitles on, because even though it's in 'English'... authentic Liverpool speak is foukingh nyeaerghly imgphoshhghlibiel tehgu oughndishtaghnd lahd
