The last 2 episodes of Wheel of Time have gotten interesting.
Finally starting to get some interest in the story and some of the characters.

I haven't started season 2 yet. I was waiting to hear how it was . . . might give it a shot this evening.

@fingercuffs

Have you seen Normal People?

I just finished it and it's brilliant. The best thing I've seen in a long time, and I don't say that lightly. The writing, directing and acting are all spectacular.

The trailer really doesn't do it justice, the characters are much more complex than it suggests. This isn't The Notebook.

Check it out.

The Walking Dead : Daryl Dixon......is actually pretty good so far?

It looks like they put a lot of money in it...looks movie quality almost to me.
Takes place in France, and has a unique story in the zombie themed stuff so far.

I thought the first episode was great but didn't like the second one at all.

Really? I liked the 1st episode, but the 2nd episode was what really brought me in. I thought the opening scene was really well done.

It's not great, but I think it's a lot better than season 1. Season 1 was almost unwatchable for me. If you made it through that, you might enjoy it now.

Episode two had too much of the same crap that killed TWD, or at least that's how it felt,

Starting episode three right now.

‘The Office’ Reboot in the Works With Greg Daniels Returning (Report)
The series is one of a “firehouse of announcements” Puck has reported will come as the WGA strike comes to an end

Netflix has Band of Brothers up now, the US version at least. how did that happen? Blessed be VPN's.

Anyway, great stuff as I never finished it. I had a disc version many moons ago that got stepped on or something.

Band of Brothers is great. I tend to end up watching it once every couple of years again from Beginning to End.

The Pacific on the other hand, I've tried to watch several times, and I really like it, but a enough time passes that I always have to restart from the beginning and then I get like 4-5 episodes in and don't make it past for some reason. I can't explain it. One of these days I'll get all the way through it.

They have a third one coming out. I've heard about it for years now, but have no idea when it is coming out. It was supposed to release September 20, 2023 (according to IMDB at one point), but that never happened. It still has no release date but is close and is likely being affected by the strikes. Sadly it won't be HBO anymore either but Apple TV instead, but it is still Spielberg and Tom Hanks who are behind it. I just learned that the first 4 episodes will be directed by Cary Joji Fukunaga though (who Directed True Detective Season 1 and the most recent James Bond - No Time to Die) and he'll be helping as an EP for the rest of them, over 300 million invested in the project so far. It's called Masters of the Air and It is based on the 2007 book of the same name by Donald L. Miller and follows the actions of the 100th Bombardment Group of the United States Army Air Forces during World War II. The series serves as a companion to Band of Brothers and The Pacific.

What killed TWD for you?
For me, I'd say a lack of good, relatable, realistic characters, and nothing substantially happening to move the plot along in far too many episodes. They'd try to do these filler episodes where they are focusing on characters that just aren't interesting. By the end of the series, it just felt like cosplay, or as if all of the extras took over the show.

So far with this show, the story is a lot more focused and there aren't a million people on the cast that actively annoy me/disinterest me.

Finally caught Poker Face on Peacock. I thought it was really well done and loved it! The typical formulaic murder mystery take was good. Natasha Lyonne is great, I love her as well, raspy smoker voice and all. lol! I thought the last 2 episodes were the best and like how the show is set up for a season 2. Has that been announced or confirmed yet?

Also caught up to the most recent episode of Only Murders in the Building. Season 3 is just as great as the first 2, and I have to say that Steve Martin is a cultural treasure. He is the best on the show for me. Martin Short is great as well, and I enjoy Selena Gomez too. She is okay and not at the level of the two vets, but they have good chemistry. I am looking forward to the final 2 episodes. Wonder if they will do a season 4?

Thank christ they didn't
kill off Martin Short. I would have cried had that happened.

2 episodes into The Old Man, really good thus far.

Jeff Bridges is awesome. I enjoyed that one a lot too. I am not sure if there will be another season, though. Not that it ended all wrapped up nicely as a one off, but I just haven't heard of any renewals or anything since it came out.

Plus, Rotties are my favorite dog breed and this show has 2 of them!

There will be a season 2 that was supposed to be released near end of this year. Writer strike delaying
