When the proof is still just from the IBA, a russian run org so known for being so corrupt that 20+ major countries don't send their boxers to compete in any of their events at all, it's hard to believe.
And they only decided she failed these extra tests that they won't explain after she beat an undefeated russian girl at the event. Funny that.
Even if she does have the male chromosome, it doesn't matter. Lots of female athletes have that. They ain't banning all them.
Then why did they also ban the Taiwanese boxer, Lin Yu-ting, for also failing a gender test at the same World Championships?
Lin did not beat a Russian boxer.
And why didn't they appeal the decision to the independent third party if they were indeed females?
Was funny that they didn't go after some of her opponents for the same reasons. The thai girl she beat looked like way more of a man.
It's not like Imane is even any good anyway. People going on like she was only winning because she was supposedly a man, but she was in there against absolute career ammy cans. Girls she was fighting late in the olympics had records that likely wouldn't let them be pro. That's how shit they were.
An actual pro boxer, Skye Nicholson, said she's trained with her and didn't even think she was strong. Another Australian girl wrecked her a bit back and said she was weak as piss.
And if she was a dude, there's no way she'd been dumb enough to do what she did. She's from a full Muslim country where they'd skin her and probably her family alive for disgracing them this much.
This is all completely irrelevant. Doesn't matter how ugly a Thai girl is - she's still a biological female.
This isn't any new update.
It is a new update because months ago, all the detractors were saying there was no "proof." That the IBA was lying about the failed gender tests. The IBA initially said they can't divulge the details due to medical privacy concerns.
Now that the actual lab results have leaked, all you people are saying it's either fake or it's an invasion of privacy.
This was the same test that was mentioned before (done in India) that Russian sources said claimed she was male. Her camp disputes it and says that test is bullshit. The IOC has also raised issues with the same lab.
Since I have no whether or not these leaks are legit, I think the correct course is for everyone to wait until further testing is done. The rules are in place so that she/he will have to be tested going forward, so we'll know when that day happens or doesn't.
Both Imane Khelif and the Taiwanese boxer failed lab tests done in India and another separate one in Turkey.
They were free to appeal the decision to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) which is based in Switzerland and completely independent, but they didn't do so.
Why didn't they appeal?
Ask yourself this question: If you were an athlete that dedicated your entire life to a sport and they wrongly accuse you of being male and disqualify you, why wouldn't you appeal that obviously wrong decision?
Face it, Imane Khelif is a male.
