Opinion Tucker Carlson: "Open" to the Flat Earth Theory

I don't at all believe in flat earth, but I appreciate Tucker's willingness to at least feign open mindedness on the topic.

At the end of the day, we have very little understanding of what is going on here in our reality.
Feign is exactly what he did and what people are roasting him for. We have a great deal of understanding regarding General Relativity. We might not be able to unify it with Quantum Mechanics, and there are still unsolved mysteries in physics, but we know why planets are spherical and Flat Earth is just bullshit.

It's helpful when discussing to be clear about what you actually mean. "Tranny stuff" is so vague it's impossible to know what you are referring to.

pretty sure he was talking about the modulator and planetary gear set while giving us helpful advice on the timings of our shifting.

They're just lights in the sky man

Well, by now the solar radiation has bleached the flags on the moon. Now, it just looks like the French were there.

well it looks like we've just found our definitive proof that there is no intelligent life on the moon. if the french flag is still flying, that could only mean one thing. there is nobody there for them to surrender to.

It's funny these guys don't wonder why China and India are sending fake missions to the moon too. Why go to all the trouble? Like, who in the top echelons of the Indian government were like, yeah we know it's all fake but look at all the benefits it will give us. Such as what?

Indian spacecraft lands near the Moon's south pole in world first

India has joined the elite club of countries to have landed a spacecraft on the Moon, after the US, the USSR and China. Chandrayaan-3 landed successfully, four days after the failure of a Russian mission.

Anyway, the Greeks solved the case around 2500 years ago and proved the Earth is spherical. It's been an established fact for at least that long.

Flat earth talk is a recent thing and its goal is to advance an anti-science agenda. I don't think it's entirely harmless, however ignorant it may be. It goes hand in hand with other pseudo/anti-science crap like like Sherdog's own COVID and tranny scaremonger threads, driving the idea that established fundamental scientific principles may be untrustworthy so therefore it's all untrustworthy.

I'm not lying. I live in Canada. That's why I suggested you live there because Canada is the only place where you'll find people who literally think every single American is stupid. I run into them quite often here.

Have you been to Alberta?

because china and india are expanding and they need somewhere to put their counterfeit items and scam call centers.

He said he believes the Earth is round.

I suppose Tucker, for refusing to adopt Leftwad/Establishment beliefs, will be attacked at every turn. He's a threat to the Establishment.

Tucker Carlson is the establishment and he has been the establishment throughout his entire career (which has involved him working in large, establishment media corporations). He is about as establishment as you can get.

They really are
They have a 'watched a few youtube videos on the subject' understanding of physics. There's several posters like that on these forums, yourself included. Clearly don't actually understand physics at anything beyond a surface level, then try to use that trivial, incorrect understanding of physics to justify their positions.

But that's true for both sides tho. 99% of people who accept the established and prevailing theories, ideas, and beliefs don't actually understand the science beyond a surface level. They sinply try to use their trivial, incorrect understanding of science, coupled with that consensus opinion, to try and beat people over the head because thats what gets them off. But behind all of the insults, mockery, and trolling they don't actually understand the science any better than those theyre bashing. And often times they understand it even less so.

Are we just going to sit here and act like JOEL BAUMANN isn't in this documentary?

Not really. Those people fall into two categories - those who don't understand the science, but have enough sense to trust those who do, and those who actually do understand the science. Focusing on the first group, it is better to have a trivial understanding of a subject, acknowledge that, and defer to experts who do, than to have a slightly better than trivial understanding and think that makes your contrarian opinions relevant.

A guy who has spent a year training in jimbo's wing chun death style may believe he knows a lot about fighting. He may even believe he knows enough to beat guys in the UFC. And, he might know a tiny bit about fighting, perhaps more than a person who has never trained at all. But that person who has never trained at all has no illusions that he could beat a UFC fighter in a fight. The guy who thinks his trivial understanding is relevant is the moron in this scenario, not the person who acknowledges that they know nothing.

Its the same thing here. Having watched a couple of youtube videos on physics doesn't make you qualified to question the field. You can, but to anyone with any degree of sense you're just an egomaniac who can't see how little you know.

There is also the category of those who understand the science and dismiss it or aspects of it. Some of those people write papers & books, give speeches, and even make youtube videos explaining their point of view. Sometimes laymen people hear their point of view and are swayed to some degree by what they're saying.

There are also those who don't understand the science but they do understand logic. They able to spot the fallacies, assumptions, logical leaps, and inconsistencies the group thinkers have trained themselves to ignore.

Does that make their opinions relevant? Depends on who you ask.

I would say the person who doesn't know anything about fighting but still decides to bash and ridicule other people about fighting is not only a moron but also an insufferable ass hat.

I enjoyed watching his documentary, "Get Levelled With Me"

Hard to remember the last time I laughed so hard at a post on here

(I'm allowed to since he was OK 👀)

The earth is a disc. Think about it. Throughout history explorer's like Christopher Columbus "Discovered" continents.

He came from the Establishment with a silver spoon, but anyone that speaks out against wars, the MIC, wants to border closed, and find the Trans Activist movement appalling is no longer Establishment.
