The real chef’s kiss is this part:

Trump supporters will un-ironically claim that this is a “witch hunt” when that’s the exact sort of behavior that got Trump into this mess in the first place.

I seem to remember hearing "they are hurting the wrong people" quoted.

It just gives people an excuse to be the worst version of themselves and enjoy people suffering.

It's a lack of decency. But it's now an issue of sunk cost. So they will carry on.

I have no horse in the race, but for some reason anti trumpers believe that cheating and treason is ever going to be seen as morally good by their political opponents.
