When dealing with Trump, there simply is no comparison on the left in terms of double standards or confirmation bias.

This is objectively true.


But you do bring up a great point, which is that liberals offer up their own double standards and confirmation bias en masse.

However, rather than strengthen your defense of Trump, this actually demonstrates why he is such a terrible leader.


In short, people are extremely prone to political tribalism (double standards, selective perception, etc) — and these elements are exaggerated by an inflammatory and reckless politician like Trump because people are compelled to defend his actions at every turn, causing their judgment to progressively alter from a baseline level of normality.

And once they’ve dig in, there’s no going back.


Whether you like it or not, a healthy democracy is always going to host differing views. Typically, two parities. There’s not a democracy on Earth that can absorb a politician like Trump without the integrity of political perspectives crumbling.

People defend Trump like they defend Hilary. Politicians aren’t the answer, and terrible, dishonest, sensational politicians should not be voted for.

It’s a fools game. Focus on solving problems, not electing politicians to solve them for you.


Time to move on from Trump.

His legal team misrepresented what was at MAL to NARA.
He was not forthcoming and he’s been lying publicly since about declassification and planting just to keep his followers on his side

And still no comment on what trump actually did or disputing the facts that we know.

You just want jury nullification. For some reason.

It’s like facts don’t matter. Accountability doesn’t matter. Law doesn’t matter.

It’s ok to hold trump accountable and still want more fair play in politics and the law. But don’t try to claim the facts aren’t the facts here. Own up to them and then we can talk about the other problems. But just dismissing trumps own actions and failing to acknowledge his culpability in his situation is not good faith dialogue.

For those not in the know, The Washington Generals were the team that always played the Harlem Globetrotters.

I really didn't follow his case back then. I was just trying to point out, that it doesn't matter how rich you are, in federal prison they look at three things. #1 how much time you get. #2 if the crime involved violence or guns. And #3 if you had any prior felony's. Generally anything 9 years and under with no prior felony's or guns involved, you go to a minimum security. If a gun involved, or a prior felony even if under 9 years, you go to a medium. So for Bearnie to get 100+ years regardless of gun/violence or prior felony, i am suprised he went to medium. No way would he or anyone else looking at 20+ go to minimum considering the fact there is no fences preventing them from just walking out in the middle of the night.

How many years did the GOP spend investigating Obama... Hillary and now Hunter Biden?

So sorry if I laugh at Super Nintendo in the face with his faux outrage about legit investigations into Trump and Co which are ACTUALLY leading to significant draining of the swamp. People have to be mentally ill to not see the difference.

The GOP has promised a whole host of investigations if they take back power and while they can run witch hunts the one thing they do not get is convictions.

And there won't be one. Not until everyone admits their TDS and gets treatment. I'm down to talk when the country comes to their senses. I'm not bowing down to temper tantrums and kicking and screaming.
