If China is more popular than the USA solely due to Trump, it is a clear display of ignorance as to what China is.

It's about "popularity". I don't know if this pool is correct, but it makes sense.

In Trump's second term he's always saying that all the other countries are taking advantage and raping America.

Think from the PoV of an undeveloped country: "Americans have always been richer than us, they can buy everything they want, every time an american company comes here they'll put pressure on our government to change our laws and make exceptions. If the local government doesnt capitulate they may help to overtrow it and somehow we are the bad guys?"

Meanwhile China is building ports and rails everywhere and they usually go with local laws. People can see infrastructure in their daily lives but can't see the IP theft and their secret covet stations.

I think it's to be expected. But like I said, it's popularity... Look at Trump popularity 6 months ago compared to 4 years ago compared to now. It goes up and down and it's the same with the rest. The moment Trump stop claiming to be a victim in the world stage while swinging his dick around, people will get tired of China's shadyness and the popularity will swing back.
