Damage in what sense do you mean? Trump cares less about America than any president ever, all his cares about is his power. The only thing that stands in the way of his power is the GOP growing a spine. By giving up on his tariffs he effectively prevents the GOP from growing a spine (I doubt they would have anyway) because at least now they can sell the fantasy that other countries caved to Trump. In terms of his grip on power the fire is out as of right now and that's all he and his supporters care about.

I notice nobody on the left is talking about the DJI being up 2k today. It's almost as if all you people who became economists for a week couldn't foresee what the stocks would do as these tariffs resulted in new, more beneficial trade deals for the US, or more investing in manufacturing at home.

The US is going to come out of this economically stronger and more independent. Despite leftists rooting for us to lose so they can blame Trump.

It's going to be emotionally crushing for leftists to have to admit that Trump was right about economic policy.

And the funniest thing is when I started college 20 years ago, what Trump is doing and what him and JD are saying was a moderate leftist message.

USA has pissed off Canada and the EU which are some of our closest allies. This makes China look like the more stable one which will cause more countries to invest in them instead.
